Plasma TV and Speaker proximity
Hi all
I've probably answered my own question, but am I right to think that a Plasma TV is not affected by the magnetic field produced by the speakers? Is there any electrical/magnetic problem having them close to the plasma screen? I have my speakers located just to the rear of the my Panasonic Plasma. Shunts... |

Not aware of any issue and certainly never had a problem when I had a plasma in my old house which had surround speakers mounted each side and underneath on the wall right next to the screen.

As I understand it, Plasma TV's are not affected by the magnetic fields from your speakers, as they don't use any electron beam or electromagnetic deflection to produce their picture.

Thanks Folks.
I was aware of a problem with a CRT, but wasn't 100% sure if the plasma would be affected. Thanks for putting my mind at rest
