there seems to be quite a few out there who thinks erin is nasty or mean or cold or something of that desciption or she was nice and then u went of her or vice versa
and really i don't understand why ???
i have just come across a post that said peter has seen to soften her
They only show clips of erin on strictly and itt and this year seemingly its just her laughin etc
some of you's seem to have taken an instant dislike to her after the zoe comment
but my god it was one single comment 1 in four years she just isn't as big a charcter than some of the other pros but that doesn't mean she isn't nice etc
she works hard and i'm sorry but i think she is more than nice to most people on the show and away from it and sometimes i think she gets a bit of press

I wouldn't say she was mean or nasty (i didn't like zoe last year and complete agreed with what Erin said) but there a sense of friendliness that is missing in her interviews. I dunno what it is but when they interview Karen or Lilia they come across as really approachable and friendly, where as Erin doesn't. Camilla was a bit like that too, i dunno what it is about them.

I think Erin is lovely. I loved her with Julian, Colin and Peter .
She`s a no nonsense sort of woman and I respect her for it immensely.

My gawd what a body too!!

I find Erin a bit aloof too. Not so friendly as the others. I have met her and thought so then as well as the way she seems in interviews. You are really wrong about Camilla though she is lovely, very friendly and natural.

I dunno what it is about Camilla, its not that she's not friendly but i think i got annoyed with her when she was all in tears when her and ray got really good marks. She needed her "knight in shining armour" (Brendan) to stand up to the judges for her, it put me off

Sorry I'm no fan of Erin's either. She seems a bit cold and distant to me.

I've never understood the cold thing with any of the pros; feisty, aloof, competitive, etc., but not cold.

I find her aloof too. She just seems like she is always in "professional" mode and we nothing else. She seems the most competitive but I could be wrong. Lilia always appears very friendly and approachable as does Karen. Camilla also comes across a bit like that, but to a much lesser degree.

Not that I know any of them

I really like Erin. She's perhaps a bit quieter but I don't find her aloof. I've never met any of the pros so I'm only talking as I find her on the tv. I think she seems a lovely person, as does Camilla. Actually I like all the female pros - they all seem approachable to me.

i personally have never met erin but my friend has lessons with her and says she is really nice so i don't believe she is as aloof as everyone thinks.

Dont get me wrong, i think she's really nice (Would love to met her) but she's a lot less approachable than the others, there's also not much training footage of her and peter having a laugh, where as Karen and Lilia's training sessions are a big giggle fest

As pipie said I would love to met her and I know she probably is the nicest person in the world, but its like Brendan's bad boy image she just makes me feel cold inside and its probably all to do with the editing... Don't get the wrong idea I love to watch her dance she's so elegant and lovely but in interviews and sometimes she just leaves me cold...

I don't like how Erin comes across on the show either sometimes But I had lessons with her for about 6 months before strictly and she is the loveliest person, and she does have a giggle! I miss her

Erin is NOT cold or icy or unfriendly at all!! I've been having lessons with her for about 5 months before Strictly started and I can honestly say she is so sweet and friendly and she is absolutely hillarious with some of the stuff she comes out with!
I've met quite a few of the pros and I have to say Erin really is one of the friendliest, you can go up and talk to her without being nervous or unsure as I was with a few others.

Unfortunately it doesnt seem like last series people saw the real Erin when she was with Colin but we're seeing the real person more this series, as we did with Julian.
She is one of the loveliest people i've ever met.

Erin is one the loveliest, sweetest, funniest people you could ever meet! Last series perhaps, how nice she really is didn't come across but this series, with Peter we are definitely starting to see the real Erin! She is very approachable and lovely to everyone! At strictly, there was an older man behind me who was a big Erin fan and I introduced him to Erin after the show - she couldn't have been more friendly, and bless him, it made him so happy! Maybe it's just the fact that she presents herself on ITT as Erin, the dancer/teacher rather than "just Erin" so to speak. I too have met the majority of the professionals on Strictly and have found Erin to be one of, if not the, nicest of them all.

I used to find Camilla quite distant too, but she's began to grow on me this series. Can't say what it was though...

As I said it could just be the editing which makes people feel like they do towards her...

The Brendan Cole dance students can tell you what editing does because he's the lovelest most gentle and caring man I've met but the BBC editing has made many people believe the worse of him and no matter what we say it won't change their minds...

Exactly! I feel the same to Brendan too! I was always a bit, "Brendan the monster" but after meeting him, I completely love him! Shame on you BBC!

I have met Erin and she is certainly not cold, she is friendly, sweet and very approchable and those of you who are saying otherwise have obviously never met her

"Dont judge a book by its cover" isnt that what is said?

I agree you can't judge when you haven't met someone but find it kind of ironic that some of the people who say this ( not you) have been judging my fave professional and haven't met her

I met Erin a few times when she stood in for Anton's class. At first we were all very scared of her so were all very quiet. She was a much stricter teacher than Anton (we normally spend half of the lesson laughing at/with Anton, another quarter bantering with him and perhaps another quarter dancing, so most other teachers would seem stern for us to be honest) and apparently she told Anton afterwards she thought we hated her!

We did relax a bit after seeing her a few more times. She was nice and fair, perhaps a bit colder than Anton. I would not say any bad words about her as I have no reason to. I believe most of my fellow classmates prefer our usual teacher though.

She's a wonderful teacher. I dont' find her strict, just focused. She makes you work, but it's still fun! Every other teacher we had when Erin wasn't able to make it wasn't as good (Sorry Camilla!!) After Erin, no one else seems to move fast enough. I love it, I like being pushed!
