Brendan probably is lovely in person. I watched Celebrity love island , and what struck me about him is that he is a lovely guy in life, but when it comes to a competition he gets so ultra competive he becomes soooo unattractive. Even at the silly little games they played on the island.

The problem is that SCD is all a competition so he comes off as a complete burk most of the time.

I disagree, I find his passionate firey side rather a turn on!

I don't think Erin comes across as cold more just a little more reserved than some others. I don't think that's a bad thing at all though. I think with Erin she gives the impression of being very independent minded, lots of dignity and class but also I bet she's really kind and loyal. Not that I know of course but she seems like she would be a great friend to have.

In fact I think Camilla, Karen and Lilia all come across as lovely. Karen seems barking mad and has the most obviously outgoing personality And like Lilia seems so full of enthusiam and energy. Camilla I've really grown to appreciate too.

So basically I love all the female pros

Erin's a lot quieter than the other 3 you talked about. Karen's just bonkers, Lilia's little miss giggle, Camilla's just a flirt!! Ms Dallerup's rather mad too though! Anyone watch Dance Factory on CBBC?!

Erin has come across much better this series, she seems more relaxed and is definately softer with Peter than with the others.I met Erin earlier this year at a showdance and she was friendly and funny, despite having come to Manchester in March in the snow and then having the drive back to London, they spent ages talking to people and signing autographs afterwards i definately didnt find her cold.
Camilla couldnt stop talking to us and was really friendly in fact Ian couldnt get a word in edgeways!
The BBC sediting has a lot to answer for, but would people want to watch if they only showed all the nice stuff the editing makes for good t.v.

What about Flavia, Nicole, Ola? No wonder they got knocked out early if no-one mentions them!

They get forgotten because they are newer than all the other pros - (i think so at least) so people arent quite as bothered with them.

Nicole's been around before!! She was in series 2! I love Nicole, she's the best! I met her and Flavia at SCD this year and they were both really sweet.

It was the week that Zoe and Ian danced a wonderful Tango. The previous week, Zoe got a 10 for her dance (forget what it was now ...!) and Erin said that Zoe did not deserve a 10 since that mark is reserved for perfection and Zoe was not perfect. Which is quite true.

They showed this clip of Erin as Zoe and Ian were in the wings preparing to go on for their Tango. As Zoe said, hearing Erins comments helped to get her into the right frame of mind for the dance.

Of all of the female pros, the one am a bit wary of is Karen... I have NO idea why really, just a vibe or something. I totally disagree about Erin being cold though - she seems LOVELY.

ETA - not be confrontational here, just nosey - how is Camilla mad?

Camilla's not mad!! But we saw a different side of her on Dance Factory, she was fab with the kids. She just mucked about and didn't care lol!

I get the same vibes from Karen, and I don't know what it is either!

She was great! She did loads of bonkers stuff and didn't care! I *love* when she can't pick up the disco routine! And her attempt at irish dancing I have several episodes on video in amongst my S3 stuff, I will have to find.

I think a lot of Erin's 'problems' with regards to public perception of her has been purely due to the editing by the BBC. They chose to show her the way they did the same as they did Brendan for being a bad boy. Last year, I said to someone very close to Erin that I felt she needed to up the anti on the PR front as I felt that it was slipping away from her because of the way she was being 'covered'. I don;t think she was too worried as she was just working away with Colin in her own way. I still feel that her coverage last year didn't work in her favour. I think the true testament to her though is the high regard that all her previous partners have for her. Colin, Martin and Julian have all been there at sometime this seris to support her. Julian adores her. I've seen them with her - and as with everything else SCD - seeing it live - its what you see off camera that makes it more exciting!!!

I think what we are really talking about here is the difference between TV and 'real' personality. Yes the BBC's presentation does matter but they want / need to play up the dramatic element. Erin has not helped herself by describing herself / saying other call her 'Miss Whiplash' - only a very small element of viewers find that attractive.

The programme is not about purely technical dance, it is also about 'good tv' and the public involvement element. The pairings this year are really interesting and the personal element in the relationships is even more prominent. I think that is because it was quite clear (in my mind anyway) that Darren & Lilla built a relationship that moved him from mediocre to terrific whereas Erin was working with a partner with many natural advantages - youth, fitness, flexibility.

Erin and Camilla do come over on the telly as more reserved than Lillia & Karen. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that the public don't feel that they 'know' them as well, so it helps to have a partner that the TV audience can 'know' That's why Erin got so far with Julian and also seems on course to exceed expectations with Peter. And finally, it is why I am worried for my personal favourites Mark & Karen because though technically very good, I worry that Mark isn't engaging the public even though Karen may be doing enough for two.

Right off the soapbox now.

I think the opposite, actually..... I think a lot of people may be put off them by the fact that Karen can be so overpowering and "in your face"..... her bubbly personality can be a bit too much and I'm sure many people would be more happy to vote for a quiet man like Mark and may see her as too domineering.

Much as I like them, she does grate on my nerves ever so slightly sometimes with her over-zealous cheesiness.

guys I agree - Karen perhaps tone it down a little and Mark just a bit more to the front! Just a teeny weeny bit

Have always liked Erin personality wise, always seen her as friendly, honest, very good teacher.

Camilla I can understand why people would think she was colder than the other female pros, in past series' I felt the same about her but this series I thought she was a lot nicer, but Ive never really been a fan anyways.
