Ipod: Where are my tv programmes

I'm not exactly a noob when it comes to itunes and ipods so I'm sure this might be a fairly embarrisingly easy to answer (I hope anyway)

I have stuck loads of family guy onto my Ipod video, used itunes I have a few tv programmes, music videos etc and they are all neat and tidy.

However i can't find the bloomin' things - from video there doesn't seem to be a menu option for tv programmes - just music videos and playlist.

To watch them I have to have them as a playlist which is kinda annoying

I have 'Dexter' a tv programme 'marked' as a movie and that can be found (under movies)

I can't find anywhere to add the tv option to the video menu.

I don't mind setting all my videos to movies but surely if you can tag a video as a tv programme in itunes you can use that in the ipod can't you?

Sorry if this is so blindingly obvious but I think I'm missing something

I just made sure all my TV progs were tagged as tv programmes and filled in the programme name, season number & episode number bits and they appear on my ipod ok - I had a similar problem when I hadn't indicated season/episode number on family guy myself

Mmm OK

when I go into the video menu I get

*video playlists

Movies

Video Podcasts

Video Settings

no option for tv - where are yours stored (if you don't mind me asking)

*another annoying thing is from playlists i go to

music videos

newly added

top 25 mos tplayed

yet unrated

- the last three lead to music files!!!

when I've got my ipod connected to my pc I make sure via itunes that each tv programmme has all the details entered via the get info & when I do that they appear on my ipod automatcially - mine are stored in the same place as the movies it lists

Video Playlists
Movies
Music Videos
TV Shows

when I go into TV shows it lists each programme i.e Family Guy - then when I go into Family Guy it lists the season then it lists the episode

Ok let me try that

so you are saying that 'tv' doesn't have it's own branch of the video menu - you have to go into 'movies' first?

no on my ipod it is listed underneath Music Videos but until I had made sure I had all the info for the tv programme on the file properly it didn't show when my ipod was disconneted from my pc - if you just leave it as a movie is does show but if you're trying to watch episodes in sequence you need all the relevent information filled out
