Corrie's Richard to have an explosive exit
Corrie serial killer Richard Hillman is to die in the spring in an explosive plot after confessing his crimes to wife Gail.
Richard, who claims his third victim tonight, will tell all to Gail next month then go on the run before meeting his maker. Brian Capron, 53, who plays him, said: "It will be one of the biggest exits in soap history but I don't know how he will die yet. I have always wanted him to die. "There will be a huge manhunt. He vanishes after he confesses his crimes to Gail. "She has to decide what she does with the information and she and her family will live in fear of their lives. I always knew there'd be a time for him to go as his storyline hasn't eased up since last Easter." Corrie bosses are hoping that this storyline will beat off competition from EastEnders, which revealed last week that theres going to be a major storyline involving Lisa in late March. The speculation is that his third victim is crimper Maxine (Tracy Shaw) is premature. Hillman has already been responsible for the deaths of Duggie and his ex-wife. Brian said: "It's been great, I never dreamed the plot would be so successful." Click links below= the Mirror The Sun Ananova |

Yeah - well can you believe articles that say it is premature to speculate that Richard's next victim is Maxine!

Oooh why did they have to kill him off!? He's such a good character and a brilliant actor. It would be much better if he just disappeared into obscurity, leaving a very worried Gail and then in a few years he could return to seek revenge against those who found him out - Audrey, Archie.
Though I suppose this is improbable, because as we now know, Richard doesn't like killing. Previously, they were just accidents. This time, he actually committed murder - and we now know that Richard hates himself for what he has done, so he wouldn't seek revenge on Audrey and Archie, because now that he's actually experienced a murder, he probably won't do it again. |

And although he didn't kill her, taking the batteries out of Audrey's smoke alarm & setting light to her kitchen wasn't accidental either! |

This has to be the most drawn out over stretch storyline in the history of soap opera. |

To be fair to Corrination street, there are some Storylines that can't happen overnight. The Serial killer thing is picking up now and it wasn't that good to start off with, but you can't kill so many people in the space of a month without someone raising an eyebrow. Archie would be rushed off his feet!

Yeah Audrey has gone a bit quiet, although if I was convinced someone tried to kill me for my money and then succesfully predicted that someone else would be next, then I wouldn't exactly be shouting my head off. She's probably in shock that he would do this to Emily and Maxine. I can't see Audrey sitting at Maxines funeral while Richard says a few words, surely she would storm out, as they never even bothered to phone her when the closest person she had to a second daughter was killed.

I've just noticed that Tracy Shaw is in the cast list in this weeks Radio Times (Jan 18 - 24).
Does this mean we are going to see her laid out in her coffin? |

Didn't they even have to shave a little circle of hair off to give her a couple of stitches? Sarah-Lou wore a hat for weeks. |

From Sunday's episode:
Ashley is nervous as he prepares to go to the chapel of rest to see Maxine for one last time. But as he approaches the coffin he?s stunned by how beautiful Audrey has made her look and as he begins to talk to her, remembering the good times, he lets go for the first time and the tears start to flow. So it sounds as if she does actually appear. |
