The BBC has to do something, these judges are ruining the show. Last year, I never missed a second and arranged my Saturday evening around SCD, but this year I only watch it if it's on and I'm in front of the TV. I still like the dancing, but the judges trying to be the stars of the show is off putting.
As for changing the dancers, I think it would be an unwise move to change them wholesale, but I do agree that we need to gradually bring in new blood. I think the Beeb is already doing it, Vincent and Flavia were a lovely choice.
I doubt any of the fans comments will be read or taken seriously until the ratings drop off next year when we remember the farce of judging this year, and don't all rush to the set next year.

I think Philip should keep the spot he has, and don't bother having Craig commenting on training -as others have said Philip is so much more informed and unbiased.

Can we get rid of Bruno and replace him with Philip? Then there are two "technical" bods and two "dramatic" bods.

Philip Jackson would be awful as a judge on this show - he has no personality whatsoever and whilst on the judging circuit he can be as inconsistent as them all - IF another judge were to go on the show it has to be someone of a higher calibre and with more personality than phil

Philip certainly isnt the answer listening to a few comments on the TV does not give you the person or the judge and HE is not the answer

I watched through that VT segment twice last night as I did before when he previously did it.

Somebody who actually knows what he's talking about whereas Craig knows almost as much as I do about technique.

However don't think he'd ever be suitable for prime time Saturday unfortunately.

But definitely keep him doing the Thursday VTs, terrific.

Let’s get rid of the Muppets in judges’ row this year, and have four new ones for next year.”

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought "Why should the guy who plays Inspector Japp to David Suchet's Poirot become a judge"

Sorry don't agree. It is important to keep Claudia as a representative of the non dancers who form a large part of the viewers. Please note I am not a, to quote you, 'teenybopper.' As my grandchildren will testify, I am many decades past my teens.

I'm not a teenybopper by any stretch of the imagination, but I happen to think Claudia's brilliant most of the time, and the only problem I have with the nightly edition of ITT is that they don't have enough dancing stuff on it. Lose the irrelevant pop "stars" plugging their latest single and going "Oh, yeah, um, I like... Emma? Is she in it?" and it could be on for an hour every night as far as I'm concerned. It keeps me sane(ish) through SCD season.

The public at large have got to know the current professionals now, and they do a great job teaching and dancing on the show. This is one of the reasons the show is such a success. I don't understand why anyone would want to get rid of all of them.”

Dancingles totally with you on this one - SCD without Anton and Brendan is like Tom without Jerry, Tennis without Wimbledon

Why should non-dancers want a clueless presenter instead of an amusing, but knowledgeable, one? They would learn more with the latter! Perhaps Joe Pasquale should present Match of the Day?

I think that a major change isn' t a good idea . A minor change would be better. There is a huge fan base for the professionals Anton/Erin, Ian/Camilla, Matthew Cutler, Brendan including Darren and Lillia and I believe that SCD would fall in the ratings if any of these leave. SCD just wouldn't be the same. These pros must love doing SCD or they wouldn't keep coming back.

As for Claudia I love watching ITT and she is like a bit of fresh air. I love her wackiness and Claudia certainly knows her stuff and is never at a loss for words.

No-one is forced to watch each and every half-hour episode of course. If you find it too boring/repetitive, then don't watch some of the nights.

Yes, I have to agree with all of that (and, for the record, I am long past my teenybopper days).

Certainly knows her stuff? ... she is presenting a dance-related programme and Claudia would probably be the first to tell you that her knowledge of dance is zero!

Why not Bruno: the gay bloke who seems to give the cute girlies the best marks!!!!

I do wonder whether he is just faking it and he is in fact straight!

Craig should stay as what he says is 99% correct.

He is harsh but fair and I like that. No BS just saying it how it is and that's the only way the celebs are going to get better. We have Len(generally) to say the overly positive things.

If I was to have a dance teacher I would go for Craig as I know he would not pander to me. If was doing something wrong I would want to know about it. I have been in the situation where one spot on comment about my dancing has totally changed the way I have danced and it was a criticism.
