itunes synchronizing problem

evenin' all!

how can get itunes to update the library with what's actually in my "my music" folder?

for example, if i delete an album/file from my hard drive, why is it still in the itunes library?

i've been deleting the entire library & using "add a folder" to get it to do it, but with 3000+ tracks, it takes ages.

is there an easier way? i was hoping hitting f5 would do it to refresh, but sadly, nope!!!

thanks for any help you can offer.

richard.

Hi- in the 'advanced' tab, go to consolidate library- this moves all the files into the iTunes folder.

Hope that helps!

iTunes is designed so that your music is managed exclusively from within it, you're not supposed to use the os file manager.
