Well it's mostly his views on the decline of reality TV and the abuse of mainly cold-blooded animals for public entertainment.

And he has a point.

I thought it was a very interesting article, and he does have a point about the animals -I thought rats were intelligent, and I don't like the way some of the others are treated.

But, even those that watch, have to accept they are pretty appalling. They're appealing to the worst in us, particularly the sadist inside us all. But because it's all wrapped up in supposedly light-hearted comedy we feel excused.

Go back 10 years and people then would never have thought it possible that celebrities were so intent on fame that they'd be eating animal's testicles and cockroaches for our entertainement.

I've watched most of this series but there is a little bit at the back of my mind which knows it's wrong and more than a little bit sick.

I don't think he is as interesting as, say, Germaine Greer, on the BB inmates. She got it spot on. Sorry, I've lost the link.
