Mmmmmmm. I would question your own sanity if you are believing what is written in the Sun newspaper.

Please give yourself more credit.

What pees me off are that there ARE some people who out there who read the scum, believe every word it prints, and will say " , thats terrible" and stop voting for him immediately.

I nearly choked on my tea and toast when i read about this ( admit OH buys this paper)

I'm sure it's now water under the bridge, if true , and looking forward to an excellent performance tonight.

They are not the first couple to have a spat using the f word during this series. Look at Claire & Brendan/ Georgina and James. Think paper and "insider" are making a mountain out of a mole hill

As a shy person I have to say the one thing I hate above everything else is when people make fun of me for being quiet. I can see why he lost his cool (if he did). In a way it makes me warm to him a bit. I wouldn't worry about people not voting for him, I really doubt he'll be leaving anytime soon.

Storm in a teacup. Does anyone really think that they are the only couple to have used the F word this series?

Jill told Darren to f*** off once as well, not big deal!

Plus I should imagine he`s quite stressed out with such an intimate dance

I hope they`re both okay now !

Darren Bennett remarked in the first edition of Strictly Come Dancing book that:

"The deadlines can get very hairy, and that's when your relationship with your celebrity really matters. If they can't take criticism, you're sunk. Luckily for me, Jill and I spoke our minds and swore at each other, and we didn't care. Because she's an actor, she undertands that you have to get it right. None of us wanted to be involved in anything that would make ballroom kitsch or silly. We get enough of that prejudice, and this was a chance to set the record straight."

Both celebrities and professionals are placed into an incredibly pressurised situation. While I do not condone this alleged behaviour, when two people are constantly in each other's space and one of them is attempting to learn a new skill, it is inevitable that tempers will flare up. People disagree all the time and that is a part of human nature. I am not overly concerned about this piece of "journalism" because it is designed to provoke a reaction and to get people reading.

If Darren and Jill can train together, swear at each other then win the contest - I certainly do not see how this would stop Mark and Karen, let alone any other couple from doing the same!

I wouldn't be surprised if its the intimacy of the dance that caused this to happen (if its true) Mark is very uncomfortable with this dance and this makes it very hard for him. I'm sure it blew over very quickly and all is well between them and they will perform well tonight

I too am a shy person and can relate to how he feels

Oh no he swore! Geez get over it knowing how they are in training, it just blew over, he apologised and they got on with it, its not like they constantly sniped at each other from the beginning. Disagreements will happen in training; the test of character is to make up and dance your ass off, which is what I'll hope they'll do, (like Jill and Darren) to silence the naysayers.

Well said! You just summed it up.

I'm the same. I'm very shy and hate it when people make fun of me for it, even if it's in a joking way. I can understand where he was coming from.

Me too

And even if it is true, or there is some substance behind it (and let's face it, you can't trust the sun further than you could throw its main office), it's being reported in such a way as to make it look the worst possible, rather than what it was (if it even happened), a blow up in a highly stressful situation that has probably been forgotten about already by the couple in question.

I'm not saying that it is the most reliable paper in the world, it is obviously a tabloid - but the Sun has A LOT more truth in it than people give it credit for. It includes biased reporting and often people argue about the Sun's content - but after doing a Media degree I've got to say it is definitely not the worst paper around as people believe. News of the World is full of rubbish though - almost as much as Daily Mail and Mirror.

Saying it's not as bad as the Mail or the Mirror or NOTW isn't saying a lot though, is it?

But isn't the point of the competition to vote for the best dancer and not their personality?

no of course, that's why I said it's still a tabloid at the end of the day and so will never be in the league of the other more respected papers. All I'm saying is that it's not actually as bad as it's reputation.

Didn't The Sun report the tiff between Emma and Darren despite the fact no clips of it had been on shown on ITT?

Yes, and they were spot on- in the VT on Saturday it was exactly as they said. That's why I think this could well be true, although I don't think it's a big deal.

Well if it's in the Sun then it must be true.

The Sun did get the Darren and Emma story correct but it was taken out of proportion. I'm guessing that the same thing has happened here. It's not really a big deal

Anyone who believes the tabloids really needs a refresher course in making life judgements. When does truth end - we have to ask ourself. Lots of things happen to all of us which, by using different words, missing bits out, or quoting out of context, changes the whole story. Is that not then, despite having a truthful grounding, a lie? It is in my book.

They live off the back of the fact very few will bother to sue (due to cost) if they just 'spice the story up a bit'. They love the fact that people love to gossip...and what use is gossip if it's not going to shock - the kick from gossiping is only as big as the shock factor.....so they know people will buy if they do and that will line their pockets (or their bank accounts) and boost their pension schemes.

You'd be doing yourself and everyone else a favour by sending the face price, 30p -or whatever it is- to a charity.
