I have several MP3 albums, that I have d/l but I now want them in a higher kbps. Is there a way to convert them to audio then rip without having to burn them to disk to do it?
No matter what you do to them, you cannot improve the quality of an MP3 file. If you were to convert them to CD audio and then rip them again you'd end up with a file of lower quality than the original MP3.
You could either find MP3 downloads of higher quality, or rip from the original CD's.

Indeed, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
