Well she does leave, how or why is yet unknown. I gotta say Corrie story line for the next month (see latest headlines on main page) looks really good. Hates of for Corrie very good story lines.

That was really shocking. Let's hope the aftermath is well executed. Very eerie!

I have not heard that Eileen Derbyshire is leaving the show. I think she will survive.

Fabulous 2 episodes, particularly the second one. Quite gruesome and nasty too. Great acting from Steven Arnold who plays Ashley. His portrayal of severe shock was very realistic. Cant wait to see what happens next. I have never been so gripped by a soap.

She must die as the story on Richards exit from the soap says he feels remorce after killing Emily and getting her money when he would have got by financially if he hadn't have killed her and Maxine.

I loved how they took the shot of Richard with the crowbar straight to someone behind the bar cutting up some meat! Pure Genius

Don't think there's any word of Eileen Derbyshire leaving! Any remorse Richard feels is probably as a result of Maxine's death - there's no doubt that she won't be back.

I thought it was very well done - the scene with Ade in the pub, the tension building in the music during the film Emily was watching and the quick cut from the crowbar to the meat mentioned above. Good direction and a great performance from Brian Capron. Shame he's going soon!

I don't THINK Emily dies. In fact, until last night I thought that she survived and named Richard as the killer - but he killed her from behind, so she wouldn't have seen him unless she saw his reflection in the TV screen, which I don't think she did. (And I now know that he confesses anyway.)

Considering what a smack on the head he gave her, how come no blood on him? Her head would have burst open like a melon with the sort of force he used. All she had was a tiny bit of blood in her hair.

So no blood on Richard, minimum blood on Emily and Maxine - the person with MOST blood on them was poor old Ashley.

Cracking couple of episodes though! All he has to do to look evil is pull those gloves on ...!

Pure panto. I almost expect to see him appear in a black cloak accompanied with lightning and a clap of thunder every time he's on screen.

According to next weeks TV TImes Norris is moving in with Les and Kirk. Why would he do that unless he was made homeless following Emily's death and Richard taking control of the house?

It's all good fun we have to wait and see.

But when you read this look behind you. You could be Richard's next victim!!!!!!!!!!!

Says on the front page about Richards exit from the soap and no mention of Emily, so I assume she dies otherwise if she shopped him to the police, then he wouldn't be leaving as he says he is. Norris living with Kirk and Les now that should be pure comedy. They should do YMCA village people cover again

She's not leaving. Norris moves out because the poorly Emily is sick of his fussing over her, and tells him to sling his hook. I would guess he will move back in once Richard is revealed as the killer and Em has to eat humble pie.
Richard is rumbled when, driven mad by remorse, he confesses all to Gail in a two-hander special episode, before going on the run. But he'll be back to menace Gail in the spring.
And they're all laughing because it's a shot from a break in filming, not a shot from the actual episode.

He hit her from behind while she was sitting on the sofa watching a scary film on TV. So she didn't see him.

Emily did not see her atttacker, as shown, anyhow.

Frankly., if a cast member of her long standing was to be killed, I'd have thought it'd been revealed by now!

Was there anyone ever better placed to be best panto villain for the forseeable future though!

Richard, work is surely certain!

I saw an interview with Eileen Debyshire's son somewhere or other (I'm afraid I can't remember the source). He was very vague, but made a comment along the lines that Emily was as tough as old boots and he couldn't see he likes of Richard getting the better of her.
