Sorry about the title, but I had to get your attention somehow.
Could someone tell me what the costume dept use to stop the girls boobs moving while they are dancing when they are obviously not able to wear a bra under the skimpy outfits.......I need some!

Some kind of tape probably - think of a doublesided post-it note with slightly stronger adhesive.

Starch, maybe?

And whats wrong with moving boobies? Never been able to get anything in the Bad column on that subject.

The dresses are sown to a skin tight Lycra leotard (according to the SCD book at any rate).

Yeah a leotard is the basis of all the dresses, even the really skimpy ones. Plus they are made to measure and fit really well.

Claire King said on Paul O'Grady on Fri that the material is so stretchy that it holds all in place and it can't go anywhere!

But surely, there'd still be a bit of jiggle? Unless they have built in bras in the dresses...

DerChef says

Soooo that tiny strip of material holding the bodice of Erins dress together tonight

Nothing would happen if it suddenly "pinged" off

Saw the clip last week on ITT I think ,of Claire having the bit of material sewn in to cover tummy button in AS dress and the bra bit of dress looked liked the inside bit of a swimming costume for us women with larger boobs.

the flesh material generally has pretty strong lycra content

Yeah it looks like they have like a bra built in as the dress is a leotard uinderneath isn't it? It is most probably a very strong lycra, maybe we need to quiz the costume department don't we?
