While we're talking about costumes.... does anyone else think that Carol was wearing Sarah Manners costume from last year tonight? (Slightly altered of course)

Although the material is made with Lycra which does hold everything in, dresses also incorporate 'bust cups' which ensure that there is definition across the bust area. Lycra on it's own would flatten everything down too much.

If anyone has the SCD book (not the latest one, the pink one) take a quick look at Karens page. you can see the flesh coloured bust cup peeking out ever so slightly.

its called a shelf bra and most dancers leotards have them once they get to adult sizes as even those with the smallest breast need soe support when dancing also help prevent nipples showing through on white leotards.

I was thinking much the same thing myself. I watched Jill & Darren's Jive the other day on Youtube, and there is some training footage of her with very bouncy boobs. She even comments that her mum has told her to wear a sports bra. But then she comes out on the dance floor, clearly not wearing a conventional bra, and nothing moves at all. Very impressive.
