Brucie the legend
R.A.H
18-11-2006
Ok, I know i've had a couple (few) glasses of vino this evening, but I wanted to say that I think that Brucie is so great for strictly, especially during the show when Mark and Karen got attached together. His jokes are sometimes quite cringy, but that makes me laugh all the more.

I'd love to be part of strictly, so i'll have to apply for some sort of reality show so I can be a celeb. although nowadays I know it doesn't take much to actually be a celeb,( I did meet Keith Harris and Orville once, I wonder if that counts )(for younger forum members it was a very dodgy bloke and an even stranger green duck that keith used to stick his hand up in a very strategic place ) but i'd love to wear the dresses and strut my stuff.

And in honour of how great Brucie is i've re-named my cat Bruce, I just thought i'd share that with the forum because i might as well have even more to regret about posting tipsy threads tomorrow morning

Get rid of Tess. But Brucie ... it's nice to see him, to see him nice!

SCD just wouldn't be the same without Bruce as cringey as some of his 'jokes' can be.

Tess can go though

Bruce is a legend. I did cringe when he called Peter "Michael" though.

I have one thing to say to Brucie.....ok more than one "Didn't they do well", "if you play your cards right, you can have a good night", " I'm the leader of the pack, which makes me such a lucky Jack, here they are their so appealing, ok Dollies do your dealing", " good game, good game"

But Of course, my fav at the moment...... " your still my favourites"

arrgh i feel dizzy from the wine, and the brucie sayings" I just hope I don't talk in my sleep

saw the live show a few weeks ago and Bruce was excellent. I used to find his jokes irritating but what I found out from the live show was those 'jokes' were scripted - probably by someone else (not Bruce) and when he was joking around when the camera was not on he was really funny. So none of the rubbish jokew was Bruce's fault. He deserves more credit than people who only watch him at home realise.

well, i'm not sure actually, it's debatable... he does prefer studded leather collers, not that there is anything wrong with that, but in answer i'm not sure

I was just going to make the same point Frodora, but saw further down that you'd already done it far better than I would.

During the Mark and Karen mic saga he showed just why he is so good at live TV. I really do prefer his off the cuff comments, shows just how witty he actually is.
