Professionals' day jobs
skyscapes
18-11-2006
Hello, I'm a newbie but a long time lurker.

Does anyone know what day jobs the professionals had when they were still amateurs?

Or, just for fun, what jobs would you guess at?

Based on their looks, I think that Ian Waite could have been a particulary haughty and sarcastic barrister and Anton du Beke a maitre d'.

Darren Bennett was Sales Manager for a show firm, based in his native Sheffield.

No, I'm the boring one . He's actually very amusing, interesting to talk to & is always happy to chat with fans, even when he & Lilia are quite pressed for time.

Never having met the man, I'll defer to your knowledge but he certainly doesn't come across very well on tv.... he just seems so bland

Ian used to do all the admin for his dad's company - can't remember what the company was though.

Frodora I believe he was a baker - on an earlier series Anton mentioned he was a Master Baker but people thought he said M*******r

Maybe I should not have laughed just can't imagine him being a baker!!

Hope you have enjoyed the show tonight Bendy. Wasn't the standard high? And the pro show was phenomenal!

Roisin Dubh welcome! What took you so long to join in (just spotted you joint as a member in Jan 2006)?

Great place to be if you are as obsessed about SCD as I am (and many people here are) - most of my friends are fed up with me talking about dancing so everyone is happy now that I have found the forum!

I've been reading for a long time but only registered with the forum after the end of the series. It was because I was going through withdrawl symptoms of not seeing SCD. My children tried to help me by buying the SCD book for me for Christmas. It was just OK. But I needed to see the dancing, the music, the customes, the people. But the forum kinda died and most people left. I'll join in more this year
