Agree with you Chiaroscuro and bunsengirl, neither Mark or Claire are one-dimensional at I've seen brief flashes of both their personalities in the training and on ITT, Karen should maybe tone it down a bit and let him speak up more otherwise their partnership which I like could suffer I really don't want that to happen.

Quite. I was really surprised that they were still going on about it actually. It can't be the first time she's experienced some sort of mishap with a costume. Ach, I don't know, maybe it's all just talk on the show to try to build tension.

The thing is, everyone's different and just because Erin keeps her emotions in check it doesn't follow that Karen would be able to do the same thing so to a certain extent I feel bad in my reaction to her!”

Erin sometimes gets a look on her face and I can tell exactly what she's thinking!

Does it involve objects being painfully inserted into nether regions of certain judges?

I thought Jan went a bit over the top in her reaction to being voted out but at least it was better than, "Ive had the most wonderful time and I had a feeling this week I would be voted out everyone is lovely, nice gorgeous, helpful and I have had the most amazing experience of my life!!!" etc.etc.”

I agree - it's good to see some passion in the dancers afterall if they don't have passion and drive how are they going to get their celebs to realise that dancing is a great thing. They all do this in their own ways - Brendan and Karen just show their emotions more.

I think also that it should be remembered that Karen has more experience in the ballroom than (even) Len and being a judge herself makes the way she looks at things slightly more objective than some of the others who "just" dance (and I don't mean that to be patronising )

What a differance one week and one dance makes. All of a sudden Mark and more particularly Karen seem to be coming in for alot of stick. This couple have always topped the popularity poll and have always scored well (apart from last week) Previously Mark's shyness was seen as a virtue by most people and Karen was always "bubbly" and an exciting choreographer, but now just because she wears her heart on her sleeve she seems to be getting some pretty heavty critisism, and Mark is starting to be written off. It's all rubbish of course. A case of tall poppy syndrome.
Don't write them off yet, ther'e still fantastic but there is alot of stiff competition. Closest series by far. It's great!!!!

Good post. To dismiss them because of one bad week would be foolish, looking at what dances they have left I'm quite happy.

I had similar feelings about Karen last year. The difference was that she had a partner who 'matched' her character more. And I don't think people are writing Mark and Karen off at all! Mark and Karen have been struggling a little bit since the last two weeks and we just want them to get back to like they were before because we know they have the goods to deliver!
