I always hear about gigs after all the tickets have gone.... the Scissor sisters being a point for me.

I always end up buying tickets off ebay at inflated prices!

Does anyone know of a web site that I can register on and it will email me details of upcoming gigs ( all types of music including classical) so I can actually buy my tickets from the source?

Any suggestions would be a great help.

Thanks

Try Ticketmaster, Livenation and Seetickets, you can register for free on all of them and they will send you an e-mail weekly with upcoming sales. Some even send you pre-sale links.

I also use Ticketline..they send weekly emails on Thursdays telling you what tickets are going on sale on Fridays..pre-sals, & early bird tickets..so check the site out

(again as with all the others can register for free)

Good advice above. If there are particular artists you're interesting in finding gig info about first, I'd also suggest joining their mailing list as they sometimes have presale info and will usually at least tell you there are tour dates on sale soon.

If all that fails, rather than buying from Ebay for inflated prices, look on Scarlet Mist- all tickets are sold at face value rather than supporting touts and paying a small fortune

I dont know Livenation, but seetickets and ticketmaster are the best I know, except for the extra charges. also you sometimes dont get your tickets till a couple of days before the gig and this can be a bit worrying if you are having to travel far.you get regular email updates and some concerttickets are sold before they go to the general public too. I have used them both many times now
