1. Matt and Lilia - by quite a long way
2. Louisa and Vincent

Matt is the perfect celebrity for SCD. I have no problem putting him first by a very long way. Louisa's routine was fantastic and she nailed it. But the gap was because I was very uncomfortable with the odd facial expression which as an actress was very worrying.

The rest all relied so heavily on their partners to get them through but on balance I rank them

3. Carol and Matthew
4. Claire and Brendan

Both celebrities brought something of themselves

5. Emma and Darren
6. Mark and Karen

Both professionals overshadowed their celebrity.

7. Peter and Erin
Agreed with Craig that the opening was far too long. Had they then produced a mistake free routine they could have easily challenged any of the last 4 based on his technique.

1) Matt and Lilia - by far the best and its amazing how he just keeps on improving.

2) louisa and Vincent- however much i dislike them as a couple there dance was excellent

3) Claire and Brendan

4)Emma and Darren- i don't think it was quite as bad as some peole are making out

5) Carol and Mathhew- i didn't enjoy this dance at all

6) Karen and Mark- i was really disappointed with their dance and with Karen- she should accept criticism rather than trying to make excuses for mark

7) Peter and Erin- absolutely lovely couple but not really in the same league as the others

1. matt and lilia - not a fan of his but he did really well!
2. claire and brendan - i thought claire acted this really well and brendans routine was really good.
3. louisa and vincent - was really good but i thought she looked ways too young for the passion of the tango.
4. carol and matthew - don't think she danced that great but i always enjoy these two on the floor.
5. mark and karen - agreed with the judges (for once!) about the lack of passion...he clearly wasn't comfortable
6. emma and darren - i think they believe their own hype a bit too much and thought they could get by on performance alone.
7. peter and erin - i find peter adorable but he was clearly the worst on the night.

1. Matt & Lilia - not the best dance of the series IMO but the best of the night....just about.

2. Louisa & Vincent - surprisingly well done....a satisfying comeback.

3. Emma & Darren - she has talent but no more than a competent performance.

4. Claire & Brendan - decent effort but nothing special.

5. Mark & Karen - for me, not as sub-standard as most seem to think but certainly not his dance.

6. Peter & Erin - obvious errors let him down.

7. Carol & Matthew - not the worst technically but there's something about her posture which makes her unappealing to watch AFAIC.

1. Louisa and Vincent - not as technically good as Matt, but just loved it

2. Matt and Lilia - what a transformation

3. Carol and Matt - technically (with exception of arms) a brilliant CCC, with impressive variety of steps and great leg action. Needs to sell it more, but footwork was fantastic

4. Claire and Brendan - quite good, but something was missing for me

5. Peter and Erin - shame it went a bit wrong, could have been his dance as looked superb in training.

6. Mark and Karen - love him but just wasn't his dance. Had occasional good line, but everything else looked a bit awkward (Feel bad for saying it though)

7. Emma and Darren - it's not a cha cha cha with bent legs! She may sell it well, but she had a heap of mistakes and bad technique and the smiles and poses tried to cover up a lack of content. Sorry, sounds harsh but is true i'm afraid!

I scored the couples like this:-

Matt & Lilia 9 (99109)
Beautifully danced - this couple don't excite me yet (not sure why) but this was fabulous.

Louise & Vincent 8 (8999)
Very good choreography and she mastered the steps well BUT she seemed to be skipping her walks - no real connection; seemed like a pupil and instructor dancing together rahter than a 'partnership'.

Claire & Brendan 7 (8867)
Let's start with a really intelligent comment - I thought the flowers were too big for the dress. Excellent Tango content, great footwork - could have been sharper. Claire looked a little behind on some parts. Liked the "King Cole" comment from Bruce - we should have renamed the Claire & Brendan thread that!!!

Carol & Matthew 7 (7788)
Carol gets GREAT dresses every week! Very neat steps - worked hard to keep legs straight but all felt a bit too controlled instead of 'letting go' and 'dancing' but I guess that is understandable after last week's whipping!

Emma & Darren 7 (7779)
Emma is a great performer and from the waist up was fabulous but from the waist down the cha cha technique was not good at all.

Peter & Erin 7 (6677)
What a long introduction! Good upright posture and good foxtrot footwok and technique. Nice flow - enjoyed it! (I do worry like Craig about the future Latin dances though). If he had stuck to JUST the foxtrot and corrected his little mistakes I'd have given him an 8. The opening was rather weak - why am I agreeing with Craig on everything?

Mark & Karen 7 (5688)
Love love love the costumes - especially Karen's dress - can I have it please? Excellent lunge lines - transitions were rather mechanical instead of smooth and flowing. Couldn't feel the tension in the moves. He really needed to 'feel' the moves instead of just performing the moves in the right places.

Aww thanks La Rhumba - I enjoy doing them! Though it was hard to shift my marking from a 7 this week

1. Matt and Lilia - the best of the night, lilia knows how to choreograph perfectly to the music and it looked so smooth

2. Louisa and Vincent- loved it, these two just seem to spark off each other, i was worried with the tango (esp the spoony heads moment!) but she pulled it off, plus great music

I could put the rest all at joint 7 to be honest as every one was very dissapointing...but at a push

3. Claire and Brendan - good tango well acted but pretty dull compared with louisa and vincent

4. Carol and Matthew - improvement yes, likeablity yes, enough talent to win, not on this performance i found it very patchy

5. Emma and Darren - it looked like she wasnt taking it seriously, i get the lack of practice but still it didnt have the usual sparkle, bland bland bland

6. Peter and Erin - ok dance but right time for him to go

7. Mark and Karen- as much as i hate to do this that dance was terrible, i thought they were doing some modern art or something just point and pose and pose and point...it had that erin and the dolls icky feel to it!

for what it's worth, here's mine......

1. Matt & Lilia - Beautifull routine by Lilia, soft & gentle, she looked great in her baby pink, Matt did do a good job & of course a lovely song - However, if Craig was "worried" about Peter doing Latin - what about Matt?
2. Claire & Brendan - I reckon once again this week Brendan put together a great routine, a traditional Tango, traditional music, Claire looked lovely in her striking red dress, she did do a good job, she did act, especially the opening and ending, & given her arthritis situation, I think the lady has got guts.
3. Lousia & Vincent - personally can't warm to either of them, but credit where credit is due, a good tango by Vincent & Louisa handled it well.
4. Carol & Matt - I don't know if it was just me, but I thought it was quite a slow Cha Cha, but at the same time she did do it well, glad she saw off her "demons" this week.
5. Emma & Darren, a faster Cha Cha, & of course she is a great performer and always "sells" the dance, but just something not quite right, bet the bottom two placing will put her thinking & she'll come out fighting next week!
6.Mark & Karen, Rumba is a tough one - not easy not to feel self concious - technical stuff there, just no acting, Karen won't let this stop her, like Emma & reckon will also come out fighting next week.
7. Peter & Erin - Completley agree with Craig, way too much "killing" time with the opening, instead of getting on with it - IMHO.

I can't believe I've not posted in here yet!!!

Matt & Lilia - Beautiful performance of my favourite dance. Absolutely gorgeous.
Carol & Matthew - Ok, I'm slightly biased, but their cha cha was so sweet. Matt's adorable, looking after her. And I'm so glad they got their 30

Louisa & Vincent - Good performance, but it could have been greatly improved by using a proper tango track.
Mark & Karen - Not the best, but a 5 from Craig was harsh!
Claire & Brendan - Don't like her at all, but their dance was good. Love Brendan though, and really admire him for doing a *proper* Tango!
Peter & Erin - Bless him, he tries. I enjoys his performances, he's really sweet!
Emma & Darren - She's annoying. They were way over marked, her footwork is terrible. No way should she have got the same mark as Carol. Bruno's 9 was rediculous.

1. Matt and Lilia - a very classy waltz though not sure about the 10. Want to see if this improvement rubs off on his Latin too.

2. Emma and Darren - not her best by a long way but her lines are so good, and some of her footwork seemed just fine to me - lack of training and going first didn't help.

3. Lousia and Vincent - although I enjoyed it (not the biggset tango fan anyway), I was disappointed on the performance side, esp as she's an actress.

4. Carol and Matthew - good dance, but she does need to free up a bit and Matthew needs to put more umph in their dances. I always feel they are lacking something.

5. Claire and Brendan - I quite enjoyed the dance but I'm not sure how much more she has to give. Should go next.

6. Mark and Karen - I thought these two would shine all the way through the competition, but Saturday was a real disappointment. Not performed well and his moves were blocky. Hopefully will be back up there next week.

7. Peter and Erin - Nice chap but gone now, so let's get on with some dancing.
