most dance couples really argue I get more worried when they don't

in strictly dance fever we had one couple who made it to the final auditions and had to go infront of Arlene they were all bu ton the show - they fell out just before they went in - went in danced badly when Arlene commented on it the girl told her what for - very embarrassing but arguments are part and parcel of partnerships - that couple not together anymore though!

I can't imagine for one minute there's anyone who is naive enough to believe that two creative, competitive individuals who work together a lot would never have a falling out over a professional decision. Of course they're going to fight! Doesn't means its malicious or vindictive. Who hasn't disagreed with a colleague? I doubt there's a professional partnership, or celeb/pro partnership where tempers haven't frayed on one or more occassions. This is a complete non-story (which makes me wonder why I'm giving it more publicity by posting on the thread & thus bumping it up ~ durr!)

I don't think there is a dancing couple who hasn't argued spectacularly. What the papers call it though, is a "falling out", which is absolute rubbish.

The lid got lifted a bit during a behind the scenes documentary woth Torville and Dean. Everyone thought they were perfectly in love and all was sweetness and light with them two. They were shocked when training footage showed them arguing (Chris made Jayne cry too). All partnerships are like that. when you get two creative people who are passionate about what they do, it is inevitable that sometimes ideas differ and sparks will fly.

In my opinion the papers need to get a grip.

Having seen Erin and Anton on all the series of SCD and knowing they are dance partners, I always assumed their relationship could get a bit fiery, it just screams it to me. So to hear of this 'expose' is a bit like reading the weather forecast, hardly surprising IMHO.

Even if this is true (which is unlikely), so what? Professionals disagree with each other all the time in order to bring out the best. They are both professional cheographer in their own right of course they'd have different opinions about the rountine. I wouldn't take this seriously.

From what I know of Anton and Erin they have a pretty firey relationship generally. There's nothing uncommon about that, my dance partner and I have huge rows and often wont talk to each other at competitions but when we come together to dance that extra spark brings out the magic!

To me its so normal I can't think why they wasted time printing it - the dance was spectacular so even if they did fight like cat and dog - the fighting clearly worked wonders!

Erin posted on her forum in regards to the row:

On reading the forum I came across this topic of the row between us. I just wanted everyone to know I knew nothing of this article in the News of the world and did have to laugh in reading all about it. I guess I see the funny side of it and have no idea where they got their information from. Anton and I did not row at all on saturday. There was not even a cross word said between us. We were told on saturday that we had more time to dance than originally planned so we had five minutes to put extra choreography together in the afternoon which we did so without any problems.

Thank you for all your concern but there is no plans of spilting up. I think we will be together till the end."

I wondered if something went wrong at the end of the dance, but I couldn't be sure as it was right at the edge of the TV. (I don't have wide screen). There seemed to be a slight hesitation, which didn't look like it should have been there. I couldn't say who's fault it was, but it was a good recovery.
