Hi,

I've just bought Little Nicky on DVD, but am unsure about if it has commentary or not. My version looks like those online with the "85 Minutes of Extras!!" badge on the front, but no mention of commentary just (from the reverse):

Added Value:

Documentaries
Deleted Scenes
Trailers
Filmographies
Music Video

Anyone who owns, or knows about this DVD please let me know either way - are their two versions? What's different between the commentary and one without - all I can see is that one fact - no commentary.

[ additional note : I've not actually opened it to check, incase it doesn't have commentary and I can exchange it ]

Thanks in advance for any help/insight you can provide.

Even if it isn't advertised, try the AUDIO button to scroll through audio tracks (commentary). I don't personally know with this DVD though.

Would do that, only then I'd have opened it and thus would be unable to return. Thanks for the suggestion anyway

Anyone else have any info on this particular DVD?

The American version 'New Line Platinum Series' does have commentary on I've since found. Alas, I've still to find anyone who can confirm whether or not the UK version does - which I'm feeling ever more like it doesn't.

I dunno why 'Entertainment In Video' (UK version) have chosen (if they have) to strip it off the commentary, as I've heard it's a fun one.

Still, if anyone does know about the UK disc, please reply ~ thanks.

According to www.dvdcompare.org.uk the R2 disc DOES have the TWO commentaries. They also point out that the Entertainment In Video packaging is misleading as it doesn't mention some of the extras that ARE on the disc. Here's their conclusion on the Region 1 v 2 v 4 comparison.

OVERALL : Draw - Between R2 & R4 as they have everything the Region 1 has PLUS DTS soundtracks. (You wouldn't know this from looking at the packaging on R2 though! EiV, do you actually WANT to sell your DVD's?!!!)
So go on, open that DVD

Cheers for that link - as it happens, the girlfriend was down earlier so it actually ended up opened anyway - and yes I was pleased to find the commentaries on the menus. Strange not having them advertised, I've only seen Play mention them too (but with noone else doing so, I had a feeling they'd mixed up the R1 and R2 editions). Personally for me, I find commentaries quite a selling point.

Cheers again for that useful link kemlyn - may come in handy for future reference

I saw this DVD for £4 at the local Currys. I didn't buy it I bought The Wedding Singer for that price instead.
