There have been complaints to the ITC about Richards antics with the crow bar. I'm considering complaining to the ITC as someone should have got rid of Maxine ages ago.

It says on Teletext that there were originally four blows with the crowbar but it was edited to one at the last minute.

Some people really do need to get a life. How did they think he was going to commit murder, by blowing on them?

They are also probably people who never watch Corrie and just switched on hoping they would find something to complain about.

It's not like it was as bad as that scene in American Psycho FFS (and yeah, Maxine should have been stabbed or thrown off a bridge a long time ago)

Well let's face it, it WAS totally out of the blue. It's not as though there'd been any advertising or press speculation, or as though there had been any trailers or adverts. Or as though the story had been heading that way for weeks and weeks. And when richard put his gloves in and broke in then crept up behind Emily with a crowbar raised above his head and an evil smile - who could possibly have predicted that he was going to smash her over the head with it? Or that Maxine was in any danger coming in and catching him?

Some people just LOVE complaining and probably only watched the programme hoping to find something. Sad.

I think the crowbar scenece was brilliant very careful cut to a joint of meat (I wonder who could be chopping meat at that time fo night), anyhow I think Granada hadling it brilliant (makes a change) and obviously knew what they could get a way with at that time of night.

It was quite well known that he would try and kill Emily. When he lifted a crowbar above her head, what were they expecting?

Though if originally he hit her four times, wouldn't there have been *lot's* more blood, and sh'd never have survived!

Perhaps some prople expected Richard to hit her over the head with a feather dusty?

If these people think that the show was so bad, perhaps if they let it be run the old boring way when nobody does anything wrong (not the real world) Corry wouldnt be alive today.

The truth is just like the papers sensationalism sells. The fact remains Granada are a commercial company and therefore have to make a profit. Seeing as Corrie is most likely the best money making program they have you can't blame them to fight back give that Eastenders has won most of the ratings.

After all, until Richard turned up it was getting rather boring on Corrie.

Agreed about Corrie being boring until Richard turned up, but as for the crowbar thing and complaints, I was a bit suprised that he used a crowbar, because from when he tried to kill her earlier, he was about to Smother her with a Pillow, so I assumed he would do the same again and then Maxine would walk in and she would get injured, by falling or banging her head, so I can understand why a few people might have been shocked at him with the Crowbar.

I think the difference this time is that he is trying to frame Aiden.

I though the scene was very unrealistic, mainly due to the fact that there was no emotion from Maxines Mum.

I think what people were complaining about is the fact that there is a serial killer in the street, and maybe some don't consider serial killing to be an ideal subject for a soap.

Not that I agree with them. I am actually enjoying the storyline.

I have always thought that if you don't like a show for any reason, you can always turn it off. If enough people do it, that will have a far greater impact than anything the ITC can do.

Be fair. I don't know so perfect, but there is probably a reason that his or her posts are like that (English may not be his or her first language for example).

BTW, I seem to be having a bad typing day today, so it took a couple of attempts to get that right.

Yep, but The Simpsons is a little bit less realistic, what with it being a cartoon about a family of yellow people.

The gay kiss in The Bill, now that was horrifying, I'd rather be wacked on the head with a crowbar anyday than see that.

Simpsons is quite tame when compaired to Family guy. Their "hidden messages" and special guests such as Osama Bin Laden and an Episode about Jewish people have ment that half of the shows end up never being aired on TV.

I can understand why some people would complain though. If your a lonely old woman sitting at home and you turn on the TV and you see what seems to be a nice businessman with a Family attacking a pensioner for her money, then it would scare quite a few old people as they would loose trust in some of the people who care for them. It's probably the Children of pensoiners like that, who have been scared into thinking someone might do a Hillman on them.
