No doubt she must be a great teacher, but Darren Gough was not a good dancer, nowhere close to Colin Jackson. It was their image and partnership that won (and of course the judges' unfair score that lead to the public voting for Darren in the first round to keep him in the final stage at the Final, at the cost of Colin)

Darren was not as good as Colin, but given where they both started from, he made more progress. He was a clumsy oaf to begin with and became a good ballroom dancer by the end of the series.
It's how far they travelled, not where they end up that shows how good the teacher is.

Yes I do think she is the best teacher.
You're right, I don't think they did take it seriously at the start and all were quite embarassed. I think this masked their starting ability quite a bit but Lilia did well to get rid of their inhibitions.

Lilia is a wonderful teacher. Bruno said tonight on ITT that she has a way of working with the celeb to bring out the best qualities in them (or something like that). She is patient and clearly loves what she is doing and I think it has shown with all of her partners in the 3 series she has done. Who would have thought that Darren Gough would have gone on to win SCD3 after his awful cha cha? Neither Lilia or Goughie ever dreamed they would make the final let alone win it. Just goes to show what a truely remarkable teacher she is.

Did you see Darren dance in the Christmas Special? No way can you describe him as not a good dancer after his amazing Quickstep.

What probably cost Erin in last year's Fnal was her awful freestyle routine compared to Lilia's sensational one - there-in lies the difference. I don't doubt that Erin is a wonderful teacher, but Lilia creates the best all-round choreo, Ballroom, Latin & Freestyle, to highlight her celeb's strengths.

Some of the best dancing and choreo of SCD ever was in the Semi-Final of SCD series 2, with the most amazing Tangos and Pasos by Lilia & Aled, Ian & Denise and Darren & Jill - superb.

The way Peter talked about Erin in his video tonight, and the fact that Martin Julian and Colin have been to the show to support her, speaks volumes about how amazing Erin is. They all obviously have such high regard for her.

(they woz robbed, I tell you robbed - they should have been in the final ... and breathe ... time to let go now ...)
Have had many SCD love affairs but none so passionate as Aled. Can't really see it now but two years ago I was getting up at 7-00 on Sundays to listen to him on Classic fm and watching Songs of Praise!

Lilia does appear to be a great teacher, and always wants to show off her partner and not herself, as does Erin both of these 2 are amazing teachers and their choreography is great, these 2 have both done wonders with their partners.

Hmm, I still don't think that Matt can do latin, so he's not that great.

Lilia is FABULOUS though.

We will see about the Latin. I am a little worried but then his paso wasn't bad actually and I'm not sure if he got any scores below a 7 for that (but I will stand corrected if i'm wrong) The Salsa would have been fine if he had of 'let go' a bit more as I do think it was his inhibitions which made him look awkard and not the fact he can't do it. I am hoping his recent enlightenment regarding to connecting to the dances emotionally will be applied to the Latin and if so I think he'll do well..(Tubs hopes!! )

Aye and Lilia is a little gem

Lilia is a fantastic teacher. She has the ability to make the partnership between them not teacher and pupil. She has transformed Darren, Aled and Matt, and their improvements have shown week by week. I think Matt could suprise and have a fabulous Jive, after his high with a waltz.

Lilia (and Darren B) are fabulous teachers, by the way they create a rapport with the celeb and the way they choreography fantastic routines.

Lilia is fabulous to watch as a dancer and IMO a great choreographer. We always look forward to a Lilia dance in my house.

I'm not sure I can judge how she compare to other pros as a teacher but in Brucie's words "She's my favourite!"

I never thought it would happen...... WE AGREE ON SOMETHING!!

In terms of what people we saying Re Erin, I have had a lesson with her and Lilia and as a beginner I can honestly say as much as Erin was lovely, I preferred Lilia's teaching style. She appears-from what people have said, personal experience and watching ITT footage-to be quite direct but very rewarding! Also she has equal flair for both ballroom and latin whereas Erin specialises in Latin and from watching her routines she seems less skilled in the latin dances. I'm not saying that affects her teaching qualitites tho!

I think Lilia is the best teacher. I am slightly biased, but even if I wasn't, I think I'd still say Lilia's the best teacher... she always gets the best out of her celebs, shows them in a great light and turns them into "some sort of a dancer" as Goughie said. She's brilliant.
