Activating 3g?
Hi
I have just had the new k800i on 02 - was an upgrade. Do i have to tell o2 i want the 3G stuff, or does it just happen now i have a 3g phone. ie the quicker downloads, and video calling? THanks Chris |

Usually you need a 3G sim card. Try initiating a Videocall, see if you get an error message before it even tries to call out.

Thanks for the info - spoke to 02 today and they are sending me out a 3g sim card free of charge. Many Thanks Chris |

Not sure about the k800i, but the 600i has an option for GSM and 3G, or GSM only modes, so check your phone isn't in GSM only. Also, doing a network scan will show if 3G is activated.
