Hi

I have just had the new k800i on 02 - was an upgrade.

Do i have to tell o2 i want the 3G stuff, or does it just happen now i have a 3g phone.

ie the quicker downloads, and video calling?

THanks

Usually you need a 3G sim card. Try initiating a Videocall, see if you get an error message before it even tries to call out.

If you're not on 3G (and don't have the blue 3G logo by the signal bar) then you need to get a 3G sim. Either phone them op or go to an O2 store.

Hi Both

Thanks for the info - spoke to 02 today and they are sending me out a 3g sim card free of charge.

Many Thanks

Not sure about the k800i, but the 600i has an option for GSM and 3G, or GSM only modes, so check your phone isn't in GSM only. Also, doing a network scan will show if 3G is activated.
