Will Richard Kill Again?
Jnacool

I have read somewhere before other rumours about Richard finishing off another charchter before his time his up on the street? I wont name any name if people are tryin to avoid spoilers but it was about someone being psuhed off a bridge, is that just a rumour or is it the truth? I think one last muder would be a great way to force Richard to confess!

Just let him blow up, and that be that.
It would be too quick for yet another within the next month.

It said in the paper that before he leaves he's gonna kill, or attempt to kill again. And he didn't mean Maxine and Emily!

I am new here btw, and asm delighted to join this board!

I heard that he does kill again and I also heard who it was and how it happened. And I'm gutted because it's one of my favourite characters.

I won't spoil it by saying who it was (actually can't remember where I saw it - was sure it was on this site!).

I'm only guessing here, but I think he comes back after he's been on the run for a while, and somebody chases him and ends up falling/being pushed off a bridge.

Answering my own question - although maybe 'my' character pushes Richard off the bridge instead.

I think they have already filmed it in advance, but I don't think Richard dies with him, he just pushes Archie off into some sewage works. It would be too soon to have him murdered and I'm almost certain that I heard they've filmed his death, but they have probably done this in advance to stop people from seeing too much, so they can hype the show, then they will build it up for a few weeks months, and they will already have their parts filmed for the episode where Archie gets to try one of his coffins.

*****SPOILER ALERT********

Not sure of the lead-up to it, but Richard chases Archie across Manchester and pushes him to his death 200ft from a bridge. The scenes were filmed at the beginning of December, and producers have written four different exits for Richard. Each will be filmed, but his real departure will be kept secret (except the leaks to The Sun, the Star, the Mirror, the People etc. etc.)

that's what I'd read about ARchie too. But Richard DOES die. The actor who plays him was adamant that he didn't want him to stand trial and go to prison - he wanted his exit to be final.

Why were the police so hard on Ashley? Okay, I know that with most murders it is normally a family member, but they surely aren't that hard immediately are they? And surely the fact that Emily was there was a clue that it wasn't him? She had obviously been clobbered while watching telly.

Brian Capron said he'd rather have Richard die then go to prison, but if this continues to get high ratings I bet they'll just make him vanish.

How exactly could he die?
We know he runs away from home, and there is a police chase.

So:

He could crash his car and it explodes (explosive exit which was mentioned).
He could get shot by the police.
He could get run over?
He could get on a plane, which then crashes.

It's interesting how they are going to do this. The press releases suggest that he chases a character (not spoiling it for others) and then that character inevitably dies. Richard is left in the middle of the motorway with the police catching up. There aren't many ways to have an 'explosive' exit in the middle of nowhere. I can only imagine his car explodes.

Wondering though, it seems they have already filmed the Archie thing, so that by the time it is screened, people have forgotten. They'll be saying "Is it Toyah? Is it Fred? Is it Audrey?" but nobody will say "Is it Archie?" because very few will remember that they've already filmed it.

Also, in the Killer Corrie promo, just before the end scene in the pub, there's a very frightened, bedraggled scruffy Richard who says "I can't guarantee my neighbours will [survive this]" and he looks very frightened. I wonder if this scene was shot whilst they were filming "Richard on the run" so that if any newspapers questioned them they could say "We're filming a promo"

Hmm...

Like the policeman said, "We won't find the murderer by being nice..."

My friend Heffle who's dad is a policeman said that legally, they should have taken Ashley to hospital to treat him for shock...
