Has it been confirmed they are dropped?

Well good - they should have released another single first rather than just arrogantly assuming that the public would buy their album after 5 years or so off the scene.

And 'Rock Steady' is very run of the mill.

Dropped after the album has only been released one week? I find that hard to believe.

BS I heard Polydor are sticking by them and not dropping them, the next single is supposedly On & On.

It's either that or Chick Fit!

On & On is the closest song that sounds similar to their previous work in the 90's. I personally don't find On & On a great song to be honest.

It's best if they release Chick Fit

Either way it wont matter. All Saints are finished. There was no demand for their comeback which stank of desperation and they wont be missed now that they disappear again. Their time has come and gone. They'll just have to face facts.

It is quite quick, but I can't see why they would waste more money promoting another single. The label will have lost alot on this one already.

I am surprised it bombed like it did, I had thought top 10 at the least, and so did they judging by their comments about other groups recently. They probably just want to crawl away quietly now.

Although rocksteady was good, i always felt something wasnt right about their comeback....

why was their such a fuss over it? i mean they were hardly the spice girls....

similarly, alesha's album is even getting released.. even though her two singles were fab, but did rubbish in the charts.... shes been dropped too.

Parlophone generally stick with their artists. They are a label that like artists to mature over time. Not sure whether this is what they had in mind with AS, but I'd be very surprised if Parlophone dropped them now.

I hate to sound cynical but I agree. They probably saw the success acts like Gwen Stefani, Sugarbabes and The Pussycat Dolls were having, and thought they’d jump on the bandwagon.

The thing that gets me the most about All Saints is their smugness and air of arrogance. They think they are so much more better than current acts because they were around first.

As I said in another thread I’m dubious about their reunion especially given the long running fued between the Appletons and Shaz and Mel (esp. the fact that they didn't speak to each other in over 5 years).

The whole new best friends act is a pi*s take, as how can you suddenly be best friends with someone, you wouldn’t even invite to your wedding.

Totally correct, they have stood by Jamelia when she was having a hard time < for example.

No way would they throw away so much money after one single, which has done exceedingly well.

The only thing is that they presumed the fan base would come running, and they need to face the fact that maybe they have to build a new one.

Take That have very cleverly managed to maintain the old fan base, whilst building a new fan base with the new generation of teenagers.

New strategy methinks.

NO WAY have we heard the last of them!

How pathetic, if it is true. The label made a mistake by thinking the album would sell off the back of just one single, but it was a good, solid single and has been well received with good airplay. If the backlash from the poor album chart position doesn't spoil things, they could have another big radio hit, and then more people will be interested in an album. Unfortunately the Christmas period will have passed.

Of course they haven't been dropped, some of you are so gullible. Think about it; no source provided, no quotes and if they had been dropped, don't you think the news would be everywhere? The first post was just after 3pm - it's now nearly 7pm and no news.

That said, No.40? That's p*ss poor.
