I hate to say it but of late ITT is becoming a bit predictable and boring. Take tonight. Erin's interview was very low key.OK I appreciate Peter couldn't be there. Michael Bolton's contribution was zero, apart from getting a plug in. Incidently on Fridays show there was that rediculous "comedian" who kept droning on about his friendship with Emma. Obviously not interested in dancing.
Back to tonight Bruno had nothing interesting to say(Craig is much more constructive). But why, did we not have anything about the other couples--- why no clips of practice. Surely there was loads they could have asked them after saturdays show.
Come on ITT, must do better.
What does anyone else think?

I want the pros who have been knocked out on giving their opinions, not some random celebrity.

I still love Claudia. However, I see where you're going - tbh Michael Bolton seemed slightly, er, abstracted from the proceedings, to say the least. I don't know if it's just our perceptions, or if it really is fact that dance training footage, and dancer interviews seem to have been annexed in favour of famous/famousish people coming on to pimp things. Claudia seemed mightily uncomfortable mentioning MB's real reason for coming on ITT, and I don't blame her.

I want to see the Saturday night pro's dance repeated (every night )

I don't want singers plugging their next album/song and I certainly don't want Eamonn Holmes It thought the BEEB wasn't into advertising.

Have to agree. We need pro dancers, training footage and competing celebs only, not celebs pushing their book etc. Saw the interview with I think Pauline somebody last week. Was she in birds of a feather? Anyway what a waste of time.

Maybe there is now an argument for having a proper fanzine type show (like ITT used to be) on BBC3 or BBC4. If they want or need to have another yawn-inducing chat show with the same old celebs trotting out their platitudes and selling their wares, they can do that but also have something for those of us who are really grabbed by the show, the dancing, and the personalities.

The great thing about SCD and ITT has been that they appeal to so many different people for so many different reasons. I just hate the way it is being homogenised. Like we need another false chat show where the same old people get continually recycled by promoters and publicists.

Loving Claudia but yes do agree with you. We need to see more training clips, more backstage bits and the pros who have left giving their expert opinions would be a wonderful added benefit

I like the show, and Claudia's just great - better than Tess any day. They have had a few strange guests on lately though - Michael Bolton being a prime example. That interview left me confused.

Agree with everybody's comments, we seem to be all of the
same mind, in that we are heartily sick of celebs
with no interest in dancing flogging their stuff.
It is becoming a yawnfest. The pinnacle was that
Avid Merrion idiot wasting time.
We do not want any more of Emmas fan club.

What we want, what we really really want is, more
pro's on talking dancing, backstage 'behind the scenes'
related stuff.Basically what everyones already said!!

I'm surprised you say that. Pauline was an exception to all the other celebs as she was at least a big fan of the show and not there to plug a product. I thought she was interesting and gave a fan's perspective.

However Pauline aside the boring celeb guests who have no interest in the show threaten to ruin ITT. Its cringeworthy to see Claudia having to waste time on them. It's so fustrating for fans as I really don't see the need of ITT and BBC to accommodate these people. These celebs pushing their products need SCD and its ratings not the other way around. Fine if need be have a singer/band on the Saturday result show but there's no need at all for the BBC to be allowing them to ruin ITT.

Exactly. C'mon ITT give the fans what they want.

More training footage, less celebs promoting their latest single, book, dvd.

I enjoyed the pro's favourite dances section, perhaps more things like that would be good. Mostly though I would just like to see training footage, and lots of it.

I guess the general opinion of the over-all quality of SCD as far as an entertaining programme goes, is that it is an improvement on last year.
OK the judges are "as the BBC want them to be" and the band isn't up to much cop sometimes, but the BBC should be pretty pleased with themselves.
Conversly, ITT2 hasn't kept pace with it. It's still a "mess"
When someone mentioned in another context "working without a script," Claudia said "tell me about it" and you could hear laughter from behind the cameras.
I don't think there's an audience it'll just be technicians and bods out of the staff canteen. But that sums it up, it's just a mess. The dragging in of varius personalities is just to try to attract a wider audience. but the nonsense is a disservice to dance fans.

Agree, there's so much we are interested and things they have. First of all, it would be a good idea to tell us who dance what on Monday, as they've already know and we would definitely want to know what to expect. Then on Tuesday tell us something about the music, or the costume etc.

They can also tell us more about the professional dancers. For example clips of Darren and Lilia's successfully defend their title, also other professional dancers in the competition etc. Having these singer or ex-singer or whatever simply doesn't make it more interesting.

It's true, ITT is getting boring. I remember in the first series there was a clip of Paul taking Anton shopping for jeans, and this series the clip of the boys playing golf. I liked these clips very much. I'd like to see more of the actual stars of the show. I don't need to hear a random celeb talk about how high the standard is or how the music is important because it sets the mood for the dance. Nor do I have to hear how tense it is backstage but how great everyone is getting along. Bla bla bla...we know already. If you insist on having these 'celebs' on ITT, at least ask them some original questions. And if I see Rowan Keating or Westlife one more time, I think I shall scream really loud and high

Does anyone remember "Strictly Confidential" from series 2? That was amazing, I really loved that!! I wish they'd bring that back cos its so dull continually hearing from some celebs flogging their stuff. The alternative panel on Friday was DIRE - that bloke shouting and it was clear that not one of them actually watched the show!

SCD2 had the best ITT. I loved the huge amount of training footage they showed, and there weren't very many randomers on!

I really dislike this new addition to the programme of pop stars/old American stars etc coming on to self promote and have absolutely no interest and in some cases, OBVIOUSLY have never seen the English show . I liked Pauline as I felt she was a real fan of the show and could talk sensibly about the dancers etc AND had no tour/record/book to promote (what a refreshing change that was!!!). As quoted by CAMBER we are all in agreement, more pro dancers, training footage etc is what the audience want and I hope somebody, somewhere in the BBC is reading our format and makes some changes. I always think, oh here we go again when Claudia introduces some nobody and then spends ages talking to them about their tours and NOBODY is interested!! If I want to see popstars/old American hasbeens etc I watch GMTV!!!!

I agree that celebs who are on to sing (like the Sugababes) or just promote a new album (like Michael Bolton) are not a good addition to ITT. It should be about SCD, not the person being interviewed. Bolton was an embarassment, I thought.
Pauline Quirke was excellent. She sounded like me a fan of the show who gets involved with the dancers and celebs and likes the performance and the glitz and glamour. Even though she didn't know all the technical stuff, she knew she that she didn't know it - like me - and said it didn't hinder her enjoyment. She is very obviously a fan. Someone should tell her about this forum! Come on Pauline, join us!!

I'd like to see more of the pros who've been knocked out, more Philip Jackson and more of Craig. I think his slots on it are brilliant.

I like the new addition of the professional dancers choosing thier favourite performance from past series - that's been great so far.

And Claudia is still my favourite.

It is indeed getting very, very boring. Perhaps that's becuase we've all bee watching it every day for 6 weeks now, but I don't remember ever feeling this way in Series 2 & 3.

I've been saying this in the ITT thread but:

- Where's the competitions to win the dancers costumes ?
- Where's the phone in's ?
- Where's the betting man ?
- Where's the fun clips of the couples hanging out (we had a brief thing on Ray, randomly, a few weeks ago but that's been it)
- Where's the monday review panel ? (We've had it twice so far this series)
- Where's Du Beke ? (He used to do a lot of features in the past and he's always hilarious)

etc. etc.

Nearly everything that made ITT a fan orientated show has gone. You realise a show is going down the flusher when you have to pad it out with pointless, unrelated guests who have never watched the show and yet when you come to reviewing hte dances with the Judges the day before you run out of friggin time every single week ! HELLO ?!

ITT is being hijacked into yet another sleb gravy train and it is cringeworthy in the extreme. I am *this* close to stopping watching, which is a shame as I've geeked over it for from the beginning.

Argh yes. It's so annoying. Last Friday being the prime example when they didn't have time to discuss and show 2 of the couples thanks to unfunny clips of Avid Merrion and showing pop promos.

I agree with practically everything that everyone has said. I especially think that the American stars like David Cassidy and Michael Bolton are a waste of time. However, I have to admit to looking forward to the show tonight as the guest is Michael Ball and I've always been a bit of a fan of his. I'm pretty sure he watches the show so hopefully he'll have something interesting to say about it - as well as plugging his latest CD of course!!
