I do. And he was a superstar.

Am in fact looking forward to ITT tonight, because he's on.

What dance did you vote for? I went for the Paso.

The link took too long to load and I gave up.

But would have been either the foxtrot or the Paso. Probably the Paso.

Never fear Quizmike, they do read these forums.
Hopefully they will do something about it too.

I ROFL still at ITT last year...Patsy, James, Bill, Will, Zoe, Dennis...everybody really all in their own ways so funny and likeable. There just isn't the celebrity sparkle of Series3.

Craig trying to play snooker was classic.

Also the pros doing bits...Anton and Brendan singing and what about Anton doing Saturday Night Fever?

Where's the fun? ”

Ah yes I'd forgotton that ! Mind you that did stem from Dennis and not from any ITT decision but still, was really funny and lighthearted. They have the outed clebs and professionals who aren't as busy as the ones still left in so why don't they use them ? I'd rather see them then Michael Bolton talking absolute rubbish.

More Anton is what is needed, maybe send him round to the homes of all the ex celebs and get their views on how the show is going whilst havin ga nose about their house in DuBeke style or send him out on the streets with a Vox Pox. There are so many possibilities to put the fun back into ITT again, but it just trudges on aimlessly.

Totally right.

Couldn't post last Friday but that edition was positively the worst ever and the worst ever panel.

Why can't we get celebs from previous series who at least have been through the experience and are interested, and not people just there to plug, or prove how unfunny they are?

Yes, it was Dennis's brainstorm, and the way ITT did it with the snooker panel of judges, was brilliant.

Oh well...at least I have the tapes.

I am going to watch with interest tonight cos Darren G is always good fun. Also be interested to see if they do negative take on the forums for Emma and Darren and their performance like they did with Karen and Mark last night- or if it will be finding excuses time?

Could be interesting viewing!

Am only excited about tonight because Darren G's in it.

When it sticks to the dancing, it's still compulsive, but please ITT cut out the stuff that we're all finding so annoying.

Hello,

During Monday's ITT when they were showing Peter and Erin's training clips, there was a song in the background which I have been trying to work out what it is. Can anyone provide any pointers?

Thanks!

Oh God last Friday, it actually ranks as one of my Worst TV Moments of 2006 ! Georgina having no idea what to say and not getting much of a chance to say anything, Craig trying to talk about the dancing but being cut off, Nelly Furtardo there looking moody, clueless and uncomortale and then that total t**t Leigh Francis just shouting and rambling and being utterly stupid. Who let him on ? Everyone knows what he's like ! My toes were curling throughout the whole thing.

Did they have a singer on every Friday Panel other years ? I honestly don't remember it, I thought one of the outed celebs used to comment on the music ?

It was terrible. So depressing when you can remember the brilliance of this show.

Eeermmm...singer....I think probably they did sometimes, or a outed celeb did, Aled did one and he was fantastic. I have the up and coming Paso week last year and they listened to the Prokofiev that James was going to do. And he said, 'Yes, great. Don't know if the band will be able to play it though'. ROFL.

No panel I have is as bad as that one on Friday. Another thing I thought it was Arlene's bit? Getting sick of the sight of Craig, though I admit on Friday I was desperately willing him to say something to shut the moron up.

have to agree with the mood of this thread ... the sense of fun seems to have gone ... and as Claudia seems so keen on this forum I'm hoping that the message will get through ... I love to see Claudia stir things up a bit, but the mischeviousness (??) nature of previous years show seems to be ebbing away in favour of corporate plugging ... shame

And I just loved it so much last year as it was completely off the wall and unlike anything else, and now it's just like a talk show.

I was just trying to work out if them having a singer on plugging something every signle week was something new to this year or whether memory plays tricks and it was the same other years but it appears, as I suspected, it wasn't.

I remember Aled now ! I'm sure Ian did it as well. The only time a singer should be allowd to do it is if they are actually a fan of the show and use knowlege AND love. Michael Ball for example would have been a good choice but Nelly Furtardo ? I mean, WTF ?!

Arlene has been busy choreographing The Sound Of Music apparantly which opened last weekend so like Len and Bruno, she has spare time again to do ITT as it is usually her job, yes.

Didn't they use to have the actual people who make the costumes on to discuss, erm, the costumes!
Which has to be better than a random celeb album plugger sitting there saying, yes - Emma is wearing blue and it will be short.
Claire is wearing red and it will be long.

I think it varied, but OMG, there was a certain standard.

It is usually Arlene's bit and although she annoys me at times like all the muppets do, she's a lot better at it than Craig.

Have to agree with the OP, ITT is sliding downhill at a terminal rate with the lovely Claudia seemingly unable to save it. All these awful "friends of the show" who are just out to plug their latest drivel, surely the BBC could leave this show to genuine fans such as Pauline Quirk etc. As for the friday show, what happened to the wardrobe lady who used to discuss the fashions, she maybe wasn't famous but she know what she was talking about.

Come on Claudia start banging the table at production meetings and get the show back on the rails.

Yep, she was blonde and pregnant last series (so maybe she's left) and actually had *interesting* things to say about costume choices, and indeed, malfunctions when they happened. She told us why they'd chosen the colour and style as it related to the personality and the dance. Surley the whole point ! We can *see* what they're weraing on the night !

It had so many laugh out loud moments with the dancers from that series and JLC actually did 2 brilliant live dances infront of the big crowd, one with Len Goodman and one with Paul "Killer" Killick (who I think was the best and funniest pro dancer ever on the show). Plus there was live phone in's from the viewers, competitions with members of the public, funny sketches with the dancers, Justin giving all the contestants and dancers nicknames etc”

I've posted similar comments on another thread elsewhere in this forum.... it was fantastic !!! The only outsiders of the entire series were I think Mark "Frithy Frothy" Frith and Sean "Boycie" Boyce. The show itself and the backstage aftermath show were totally brilliant and I for one have no idea why it was changed to the low market version that is ITT.

I never saw the 'original' but that does sound fun.

I'd not want to lose Claudia, JRC is a much more 'marmite' kind of person and I can't see how he'd be that into the dancing or how he'd cope with talk about costumes etc. but I certainly do think ITT needs a complete re-think.

I'd love Claudia to have maybe a few more regulars to bounce off like Mark Frith and maybe even Pauline Quirke or that fabulous Irish lady who pops up sometimes and wants to be Lilia ( ) sitting with her on the sofa and just gossiping about the show in a natural way. The Stricly Panel. When they're not interviewing the couples on the sofa, fill up the time with sheer Strictly geekery. Oh, and more Anton. As I said above, more Anton. Much more Anton.

I think the show needs to be much more 'maverick', maybe taking a camera and just gate crashing the trainign rooms, doing silly items of the sort The Big Braekfast used to do, maybe even a game or fake judging panel with padles. I most definitely want to see more backstage stuff from the Saturday show. Also a round up of Strictly news in the papers, vox pox's on the street...urgh, the possibilities are endless !

Let's do a mutiny and take over ITT ! Baracade ourselves in Television Centre !

You couldn't be more wrong.... I thought Justin Lee Collins would be crap.... but he was BRILLIANT !

He even did a samba with "Killer" Killick one night on the results show while Bond were performing. He really got into the spirit of the entire competition and was a terrific host.

Come back, JLC

Hmm, well as I didn't see him I suppose I shouldn't comment but I can't imagine he would sell it to me like Claudia does !

Having said that, perhaps he and Claud could do it together ? He could do the more mad, wakey stuff and Claud could do the interviewing.

They certainly do read these forums. Claudia tried the dark lipstick false eyelash look for two days, we all said how we preferred the old look (O.K. one or two liked it) and she went back to 'pretty in pink'. If only the BBC would do the same and revive ITT.
