Come on people, show your support, emma nearly went last Saturday and if she had so many people would have been gutted, she's an amazing dancer and could be in the final, if the people get behind her and vote, stupid judges shouldnt ruin her chances

I am totally behind you 100% on that, I loved Karen last year, I dont like her at all this year, she is far to sure of herself and she thinks she will make the final no matter what

LOL well as Mark and Karen fan you're alienating me already in trying to drum up support for Emma.

If her dancing is as good as it has mostly been, then I will vote for her. I don't want to lose yet another good dancer from the competition.

Emma has allready had tonnes of pr from doing children in need! maybe the public thinks thats enough now! and let the dancing do the talking! which it spoke volumes about her on sat!

While I am not exactly an Emma fan (I have no loyalty to any pair as yet), I think we should at least give Emma another chance to prove herself now that CiN is over. Please, people, no more catty fights and bloodshed.

If she's rubbish again this Saturday, then good luck to her, of course.

To be honest, I would be happy to see any of the couples go on Saturday, apart from Emma and Darren, Claire and Brendan - unless they put on truly rubbish performances!

The rest are far too smug and taking themselves too seriously - especially Karen

see thats my thing, ok Karen can dance and Mark is quite good but Karen seems to think their place in the final is booked which really bugs me, i wish everyone would judge dancers on that weeks performance

why oh why start an Emma support thread and then go on about how smug Karen is
funkyfairy

because ive had enough of everyone going on and bitching about emma when ay least she is a natural and genuine person, ok i wont bitch about Karen but i dont think people can say they dont like Emma just because she was a spice girl

I totally agree with you on that, the Emma bashing is crazy but why go and do the same to someone else when you don't like people bashing your faves . I happen to know Karen is genuine anyway. I have lessons with her. But thats my opinion.

edit people slagging your faves off is NOT a reason to slag off their faves
funkyfairy

ok fair enough no more slagging off Karen, wow lessons with her that sounds soooo amazing. i have dancing in about half an hour

I'd be sad to see her go so early, I think there are a few other couples with less ability/potential still left in but unless I can feel she is putting 110% into the dances, the choreography improves and they blow me away I won't be voting for her. I'm one of those who votes on the dance and not the couple, so it's all down to that.

I wish her luck for Saturday though and hope she can pull something out of the bag after the scare of last week.

i think she will, i think Darren may have whipped her into shape again

I read somewhere that Emma's definitely trying the put in more effort henceforth. Let's hope the effort pays off...

"Tearful Emma Bunton has asked Strictly Come Dancing bosses for extra lessons after she narrowly escaped being booted off on Saturday night. The ex-Spice Girl was left “utterly distraught” after 9.9 million viewers saw her and partner Darren Bennett finish in the bottom two." (Source: http://strictlydancing.utopian-total...t/view/2911/2/)

Anyone who thinks Emma Bunton has a future career in singing, isn't really up with trends in music.
I don't know if she needs the money, there are always tabloid exaggerations of the personal fortunes of some showbusiness people. But I guess she still wants the attention.
I'd imagine her management company would want her to do some promotional work again this week which will impinge on her rehearsal time. If they don't that would speak volumes in itself.
Miss Bunton has been "found out." even her once staunch supporter Craig was saying "wonderful arms poor feet" before Saturday. Bruno has brought attention to himself with his bias, which may now not be in such evidence at the week-end.
Miss Bunton too has "let the cat out of the bag" by saying that she smiles to draw attention away from her feet. Viewers will be aware of that.
There were a lot of people voting for Peter last week. Those who voted for him will not necessarily be the sort to transfer their vote to Ms Bunton, but rather if they now vote at all to another sports personality. So she'll have her work cut out on Saturday.
The media attention has turned quickly away from her and is now on Claire's long term struggle with arthritis which was all over the papers today, she'll be collecting the "sympathy votes" now, as did Emma for CIN.

That news story can't be right - why would a contestant need to ask SCD for 'extra lessons' - they can practise as much as they choose to, can't they?

Hmmm, I don't know. I'd imagine rooms have to be booked, schedules worked around (I know Darren was off doing the British Championships for example) so perhaps they agree a schedule each week and Emma has asked for more meaning they have to extend room hours or whatever.

Good for her if true, I think her lack of ambition is her one main problem becuase she does have the potential.

That is harsh, very harsh. Yes Emma thinks she is not the best celebrity in the competition, but at least she is willing to work herself even harder to get it right next time. That's what that article shows. It must be pretty difficult in her position as she's got the BBC wanting her CIN commitments but then she wants the Strictly commitments, she can't win. She does have potential, and the more work she puts in the better, and Darren will certainly whip her back to their brilliant standard, IMO.
With the talent comment, she has had more of a career than the other Spice Girls, which means she must be able to sell records; otherwise she would have been dropped by her label.
I actually thought this would be a positive thread about Emma; how wrong could I be.

DerChef says

While Emma and darren are not my favourite couple I am finding all the bitchy nonsense about Emma Bunton rather

Anybody that thinks Claire King or Carol Smile is a better dancer than Emma Bunton is off their head.

All my spare Peter S votes are now heading her way

Ohhh Yeah

I cannot understand why people whinge on this board if someone posts an opinion which differs from theirs.

Why do they also think a thread started on a particular topic is going to be all "positive?"

I've just expressed an honest opinion, whether you like it or not I don't care. I wouldn't criticise you for expressing your own opinion, you have a right as do I on an "open forum."

At 30 her "potential" is all behind her.

I'm in no way whinging. I was posting my opinion to what you had said; and I wasn't criticising you at all, I just have a different opinion from you; and was displaying it. With the positive thread thing, I'm was making the point that most of the Emma and Darren threads, real harsh and sometime negative comments were made in them; to the point where it gets boring to read.
