I haven't seen the Spice Girls in concert (I'm too old for them to have made my pop radar blip ) but my friend has - and she tells me that the concerts featured far more actual dancing and routines than the videos.
Posh apparently was dire.

Sorry but I dance in a club and wouldn't apply and yet I also have a life!!

Bottom line is Emma and Louisa have had stage school training, the Spice Girls (I think) are a manufactured group and Emma would have had to pass auditions to get in and part of those auditions would have been dance

Yes absolutely but when it is constantly Emma that is getting bashed and not the others, have a go at Louisa not that I want you to because at the end of the day whatever dance training they have had they havent done Ballroom and latin

But that could be because there are so many Emma threads.
As a general rule - as I said elsewhere - I use the rule of thumb that the 'fan' threads are were people who follow the same couple go to have a like minded discussion (but not being a particular fan of any couple I keep away from these), and the other threads are open to anyone, if you like.
You can't have umpteen threads on the same person all wanting positive comments, I'm afraid.
If someone were to start a thread urging people to vote for Louisa I'd lay a pound to a pinch of snuff that exactly the same sort of comments would appear.

Emma is not being bashed people are just having a different opinion to yours. If there is a thread on Emma Bunton then there will be good and bad. As is the same with Vincents and Brendans.

And some people believe she has an advantage over people like Carol and Claire and I think its true.

I think Mark's taken more than his fair share of flak this week and some of the posts about Karen have been downright vitriolic.

I'm not an Emma basher - I don't think she's the best by a long chalk and I do think she's been overmarked; but that's not her fault - her marks rest with the judges.

Some posters seem to think they cannot support their own favourite without bashing the others. There are still one or two in the comp. I haven't taken to, but I don't see any necessity to trash them in order to show my support for my own favourite - which is Mark.

Personally I think the emma went to stage school, emma danced in the spice girls line is getting OLD....get over it people...shes in the competition now and doin well! And if that stops anyone voting from her despite how well she is doing imo its just sad!

Ending up in the bottom 2 on Saturday despite good judges marks - she's doing marvellous!

But going to stage school and being in an international pop band and learning hundreds of dance routines does make it unfair on other contestants.
And I think the general public agree as her dance was Ok saturday. So thats why in bottom 2.

I agree- thats why I would never vote for her- she has had a head start on some of the others who have had no training- and b4 you say it- I know that she hasn't done ballroom b4 necessarily but she has had to remember routines and go on stage and perform- and whoever says that she hasn't learned dancing is having a laugh as there are no Stage Schools that teach students NO dancing whatsoever!

I just can't believe this thread says "Emma fans" and still we get Emma-bashers coming in. There are many other threads where you can criticise the dancers all you like, but this is clearly meant to be a support thread for Emma. PLease express your opinions but do so in a more appropriate place.

I don't mean to be awful - but how many 'pro' threads for one person can there be? There is already an Emma and Darren thread - if this one is to be purely for fans and their comments wouldn't it be better off merged with that one?

Thank you Mindyann.

To get told you can't post here unless your pro Emma is ridiculus!

A lot of us are not bashers just expressing an opinion different to yours, I thought grown up discussions were allowed anywhere on this forum!

Most actors have been to Performing Arts a school that is how many of them end up on TV and then Singing etc.

Natasha got praise from the judges / Jill Halfpenny got praise from the judges and so have gone on to better things e.g. signing and dancing in Chicago for Jill.

Emma and Darren are beautiful people just doing their best and at the beginning Emma looked a better performer as she is used to stage performances as are all the professionals and many who went to performing arts schools
Do the research

Anyway, I love the energy and enthusiasm and enjoyment that comes from watching E & D every week and I would miss them terribly if people stopped voting for any other reason.

Everyone is going on about how they were in the bottom two which means they don't have any support!
Thats wrong...they DO have support! They were in that awkward place in the leader board as were, for example Ray and Camilla, but no one was going on about how everyone disliked them!!!
Just imagine how they feel (Darren and Emma that is) knowing that so many people are "against" them merely because she was in a girl band that pointed here there and everywhere in their routines!!!!
Spice Girls was no where near as difficult as ballroom and latin!!!!!
I just feel really sorry for her!
I hope Darren and Emma ignore all this rubbish and realise they are loved but it perhaps isn't represented on this forum!!!!!

As many as the number of critical threads, which, at last count, was many!

I like Emma but I don't like this show or the BBC.

She's won it already it doesn't matter who votes. It's in the BBC's interests for her to win because she's doing lots of projects for them at the moment.

Come back to this thread at the end of the competition and we'll see if she's won.

Sorry but thats rubbish!
If Emma wins it will be down to the sheer hard work of herself and Darren! To say she will win because the bbc want her to is shocking! And if she does win its going to start a ridiculous conspiracy theory which is SO wrong!!!!

What is it with this phrase 'Emma-bashers' anyway?

All celeb's and pro's have come under criticism at one point or another... it's par for the course on a discussion forum. Yes there are some horrible hateful posts by a MINORITY but it;s best just not to rise to the bait.

Mark and (in particular) Karen have been ''bashed'' a lot this week... but you don't get people jumping on to those 'anti M+K' calling them haters or bashers... or telling people to 'get a life'.

Attack is not the best form of defence... it will just make people critisize Emma even more and this whole thing will get even more tedious.

As were Carol and Matt and Brendan and Claire and yet they didn't end up in the bottom two.

You may be right with your reasons but equally for all you know they might not have the public support you hope. The only evidence we have to go on (discouting the forum poll here) is last saturday's vote. To end up where they did they must have been either bottom or second bottom out of seven with the voting public.

But surely when its been constant criticism from the beginning then Darren and Emma fans have the right to defend their couple? Personally, I will always defend them because in my eyes they are fantastic!!!! What is getting tedious is the "she has an unfair advantage" rubbish!

What other projects is she doing besides this & CIN? Please do tell!
I personally love watching Emma & Darren dance because they look so happy & graceful etc. But I also love watching all the others that are left; for the same or different reasons.
To me it's now just an entertainment show & I watch to be entertained & made to feel happy for a couple of hours, Bruce makes me laugh, Tess is lovely to look at & the dancers are just wonderful. My favourite bit to be honest is the pro dance - I watch it time & again every week after Sky+ ing it.
Why can't peeps just sit back & enjoy the beauty of it all, instead of getting their knickers in a twist?
Just my opinion, obviously not everyone will agree I know.

I wish I could just sit back and enjoy it!!! I really do but I just don't like all the attacking that happens! And I don't just mean Darren and Emma, I mean with all the couples whether I like them or not!!! Personally I'd never say on a forum how much I "hate" a couple, I think its wrong! I wish we could all just talk about it with out saying i hate this person or that person, but alas we can't!
