I like Vincent, he's funny and brightens things up a bit. How old is he, does anyone know?

He's 28. Flavia's 27. The met when they were 16/17. 11 years ago! How cute is that?! *cough* off topic.

Thanks Cat. I though I heard him saying he'd been teaching for 16 years, but he doesn't look old enough, he must have said he's been dancing 16 years.

His parents own a studio in Italy. He probably was teaching when he was 12!!!!

Him and Flavia are gorgeous together, their dances are beautiful. I enjoy watching them almost as much as my beloved Cutlers, that's saying a lot!

They do make a lovely couple. He's so funny, but it's obviously all tongue in cheek, good luck to him and Louisa.

They make an odd couple! They seem so different!! I'm trying to find the clip of them together on ITT last year but I'm getting distracted byt shouty little Chris in the group salsa training!!!!

I can understand how frustrated Nicole was, having worked so hard on the cheography, knowing there's so little time and then someone like Vincent. If it wasn't the camera I am sure others would have told him off, they just want to learn. Besides, Vincent was in the same situation last year, wasn't he? He did the group Argentine Tango. I don't remember, maybe it wasn't him. Anyway, he should be more professional.

He doesn't have a stammer, he has a lisp.

Yes, it's just a (slight) lisp, not a stutter.

Look everyone, I know Vincent is probably a really nice guy who sees the lighter side of things, and probably this is what the young Louisa needs in their training. He needs to 'coax' the hidden talent out of her and perhaps the funny, loverman apporach is best.

But this is from the horse' mouth. I have recorded the ITT into my harddisk and after playing back the clip, that's what Nicole actually said, "Vincent was the joker in the group today and he was quite distracting to everybody else... Everybody else really wanted to get on with it and learn it, and we were always waiting for Vincent..."

Then we saw her imploring, "Vincent, please!" as if to get him to behave. To his credit, Vincent apologised.

Then it cut to Nicole saying, "(If) they don’t get their act (together), then it’s up to them..."

I am not saying Vincent is a bad dancer. In fact, in the clip, you actually could see Vincent teaching Emma (and Darren) the steps while Nicole showed Louisa her moves.

Don't think Nicole has an axe to grind here (why should she?). I just feel Vincent should give the Nicole some respect. He is a pro after all and I saw the clip in youtube that he and Flavia were teaching the group Argentinian Tango in the previous series, so he should know.

I think Vincent's a nice enough guy - he just comes across as a bit of a show off who likes to be centre of attention.

Vincents my favourite strictly pro from this series by miles, I find him hilarious. Not sure what to think about the training footage, doesn't really bother me one way or another..... I don't know why there was any need for Nicole to talk to the cameras directly about how disruptive Vincent was being anyway, if he was really that bad, which I don't believe he was to be honest, someone could have had a quiet, serious word and told him to shut up and stop disrupting things. I think it was all just done for entertainment value, I didn't really buy it personally.

From the VT, Nicole did stop him from 'disrupting' things eventually ("Vincent, please!"). And Vincent, bless him, had the decency to apologise. I don't think Nicole was being nasty to Vincent, nor do I think Vincent intentionally disrupt things. He's just being rather juvenile at the wrong place and wrong time. Methinks he got the steps from the word 'go', and quickly got bored, so was joshing around with Louisa, which was fine by him, but 'irritating' to some, esp. the celebs trying to get the steps right.

If Nicole was so rattled by Vincent why did she not pull him aside and have a word with him and explain the situation, i.e. she had very little time to teach the routine and she needed his help!! I am sure he would have understood. We only say a small clip of that training session and we have no idea how long it went on for!! A bit like the Mark and Karen clip from last night ITT when Mark pointed out that it was TWO MINUTES from a 30 hour weekly rehearsal!!

There are enough sombre faces on the show this year.”

Absolutely right, Ritab. 'St Vincent' (shameless plug for my entry into Strictly Bridget Jones' Diary thread) is all in good fun. The guy is truly comically gifted. Again anyone who fails to see that ('tongue in cheek' feature) or simply gets annoyed by it......well.....that's unfortunate It works for me.

Both him and Louisa enjoy being in the show so much as well as eachother's company during training. As far as that (totally manipulated) footage on ITT last night. I think it's good when someone lightens up the mood. It makes for a more relaxed atmosphere and trust me everyone will have learned the steps required by Saturday; be it all on there own 'respective' levels. And if they haven't one can certainly not blame Vincent for that. So no harm done.

Yeah blaming Vincent for not getting the steps isn't really on, yeah he probably is distractive but I doubt he CAN be distractive for a whole training thing... (sorry not awake can't remember me words)...

I found the group tango training from last year and Vincent hardly says too words, it's all Flavia! In the interview on ITT he's very quiet as well, unless he was asked a question directly. Bless him, he seems really shy!

He is really shy - its normally Flavia that does all the talking and shouting and unless he's teaching something he stays really quiet.

He's just like a naughty kid who gets all silly when he thinks people are watching him! Combine him and Louisa and you've got a right pair of sillies!

He appologised when he was asked to stop - I think if you look back across the series there are plenty of other examples of pros playing up. Anton in the samba - all the male pros in the mambo apparantly and I'm sure there are more. The BBC love playing it up - it makes everyone talk about the show!

latinprincess, you're so lucky to have been taugh by them! Awww, he's lovely!

Their ITT interview/demo bit from last year was sweet. As soon as the interviews over and he thinks the camera's not on them he kind of shrinks away and looks like a rabbit caught in headlights!

In a few group dance when it is reported on the tv there is often one member of the group that is given the label as joker in the rehearsals.

Vincent was the joker this time!

I didnt take it seriously watching last night.
