Hi all,
I've been reading these forums for a while and have noticed that they all seem very anti Emma and Darren. I think they're brilliant and no way deserved to be in the bottom 2. I really want them to win. Any other Emma and Darren fans?

I believe people are not anti emma and darren just anti what seems as unfair marking they are getting and i personally believe that is y many do not vote for them. It is very unlikely they will win though

Alas NO you are certainly not the only Emma and Darren fan - I can only presume you haven't read very many of the threads on these forums - it might seem like the favourite sport is "Emma bashing" - but believe me it is quite the other way round - it is at the risk of your own personal safety that you dare upset a "Buntons Bunny"

Me Me Me! I absolutely love Emma and Darren! I'm so happy this thread has been started. I was a massive spice girls fan; and from meeting Darren before I am so glad that she has him as a partner. IMO she has most probably the best male professional in the competition. His choreography and technique are just amazing!

I'll stop rambling now... I may have to live in this thread from now on!

I think they have had some good dances... I've tried to stay out of the Emma bashing and just put reasonable unpersonal remarks about what's happening...

I think its mainly because its always her being used as the example that it looks like there aren't many... If something goes wrong she'll get dragged into it...

There are a lot more personal attacks on a lot of pros but I think Emma has taken the worse out of the celebs this year... Its not fair because she is a good dancer....

Trish, I am an Emma and Darren fan and I really object to this 'Bunton Bunny' nonsense.
I try NOT to get on anyones case for disliking E&D and always respect others opinions. However, I am getting sick of having a ridiculous nickname as if I am some obsessed teenager who wants to be Emma. I am actually a Darren fan and I hardly think its a case for 'alas' that there are fans of all the couples on here.
I totally respect the fact that lots of people dislike certain couples and I most certainly WONT use this post as an excuse to slag off any other couple.
Please, respect that some people just enjoy their dancing and partnership and perhaps even agree that they have been sometime sovermarked (as have mark and louisa on occasion!)

I am sorry if my post offended you - but I have taken quite a lot of bashing for even mentioning Emma, I actually also like Darren but am fed up with the way the judges can see no wrong in Miss Bunton. In an ideal world the judging would be done fairly and then she wouldn't come in for so much stick, the Buntons Bunnies tag is very much "tongue in cheek" and your objection of it is the very thing that upsets other posters on the forums - it is perfectly ok to have a pop at ANYONE as long as it isn't Emma. I don't "slag" people off as you so succinctly put it. I actually have a great sense of humour and most of my posting was in that vein - humourous

I have to say I didn't take your post in that way. Although I do agree that I hate being classed as an obsessive teenager that wants to be Emma, as like you I'm more of a Darren fan; even though I did like Emma quite a lot in the past.
All this seems to have gotten a little out of hand; i mean with the Emma bashing, and its annyoing and boring now.

Yes, I agree they have been overmarked on a few occasions and even that Emma can often be very irritating! I just dont like being included in a blanket statement about people that support them - I would never challenge anyone or say they are wrong for disliking them. And , when I 'succinctly' talked about slagging off that was NOT getting at you -it was an admittance to the fact that some fans of ALL couples try to discredit others to do theirs favours- not an insult . Anyway, I can see your points and do think they are all valid -its just sometimes on this forum I almost feel as if Im wrong to support them (and Im not saying that its you or anyone else in particular - just a general feeling).
I feel this forum is getting nastier - there are some very OTT people that say awful personal things and I would just hate that to be the norm.
Anyway, - there, we are all nice again!

I am a huge Darren fan and think that Emma is doing really well in the competition. I really look forward to seeing Darrens choreography every sat night and am looking forward to seeing them do the business this sat and get back at the top of the leader board where they belong

Hi I'm an Emma fan

I only come on these boards to talk about Emma and Darren. Can't understand all the hate to be honest. She's lovely and a great dancer.

Out of all the reality shows, I thought Strictly would have the nicest fans. I will continue to support my fave and have no interest in posting negative comments about the other dancers on the show. They're all nice, hard working people. I hope they never visits these boards.

Why should Emma come in for so much stick on behalf of the judges? Surely if you feel her marks are too high due to the judges, then give the judges the stick, not Emma?

With all this Emma-bashing, coming out and declaring support for Emma and Darren is almost becoming like admitting an alcohol addiction or something! Yes, I have a problem, but I'm proud of who I am. So to all you Emma-bashers out there, I am a fan and I don't feel any shame for saying so. Stand firm fellow fans, and don't let the bashers grind you down.

Unfourtantly life is unfair... It would be a shame if she didn't make it to the final but at the moment it looks like she might be going this week...

Its not the fans she has to convince - its the floating voters who decide how they are voting after seeing her performance and listening to the judges.

If they fawn over her and over mark her - she will suffer the backlash - especially if they clobber another celeb unfairly...

and i think that maybe peter fans may move on to emma, well some of them, with the spare votes

I'm an emma and darren fan!! They are fantastic, so brilliant together!!
I don't like the fact that people arn't voting for them because they feel the judges are "overmarking" them....what a mental reason not to vote for someone but never mind!!!
COME ON DARREN AND EMMA - YOU ROCK!

Whoever said life is unfair was right! If Emma goes this week it will be unfair as she is not the weakest dancer left. However, on their weeks, neither were Spoony and Ray, and even Georgina was not lowest score the week she went, but spoony and ray had real potential, and I think many people say them staying in a long time.

On performance, ability, choreography etc. Emma should not go, and I personally hope she stays, particularly if she has had more time to commit to training this week. If she has, they could produce a really good performance (believe they are doing ballroom this week), and go back to the top. I hope they do!

Dunno about the Peter vote - I think a lot of Peters voters were voting for Peter and aren't interested in anyone else, ditto Erin's fans no that Anton's not there either!

Sports fans voting for Peter - if they can be bothered to vote for anyone else would probably go for another sportsman.

Emma needs to Produce a dazzling performance and merit a place at the top of the board for survival

Why does she need to be top of the board to prove she deserves to stay? Why don't you think the others need to do the same? Surely anywhere on the top half of the board means she is a better dancer than the others and deserves to stay. It's almost as if she is so far down people's opinion's now, that unless she does an absolutely stunning, fabulous, professional level dance, people will be saying she deserves to go. She is hardly the worst dancer in the competition, even now. She just had one poor (but not awful) week!

Sadly because of Bruno's comments I don't believe her being top of the board means she is the better dancer anymore - blame Bruno for that, Craig has admitted too he wants Emma to win hardly being objective is it? 7 is still a high score in comparison to Mark and Karen who deserved at least that too.

I am not a Emma basher but also am not a fan.

What has disappointed me more than anything else was the lack of hours she put in last week, for me there was no excuse for that I think she owes Darren more.

I don't think anymore there is a worse dancer they have all earnt their place in this weeks competition
