He obviously equates a British stone with an American ounce. I've seen whales with less blubber.

.. not in a week. No way. Probably 5 or 6 pounds, and much of that fluid.

It is possible, have you ever watched the biggest looser?

the only way he'd lose that much is if his plastic is melting

He's going to lose a hell of a lot more if he's waiting for Scott to bring home the bacon.

There was a man married to a film star that got sick of the whole business and disappeared into the Australian Outback - he moved in with some buddies and had a good time, but he lived on rice with no fruit or sugar for a week and lost half his bodyweight - then he fell asleep and .....

..... died !!!!!

It's all the hair dye washing out.
(I've slapped myself for that jibe).

Never fear. David's going to barbecue one of the women.

No way has he lost anywhere near two stone. When David Blaine hung by the Thames in that box and didn't eat for six weeks he only lost three stone!!

But if you go for a week without sugar you die, so how come David Blaine is as we speak hanging from a gyroscope above the streets of New York?

Oh dear David Blaine! Maybe he could help David Gest with the fitness video, instead of the Two Ronnies we could have the Two Davids.

Do they have scales in the camp?

"A woman didn't eat fruit for a week and she died"

"A man didn't eat for a week and he died" (to which Toby replied "Yes but we've eaten" - make me chuckle)

He's such a hypochondriac, he goes on about being 53 like it's 93! If he's conceited enough to have surgery and a hair transplant then he'll love the weight loss. I saw a picture in a tabloid before he went in, of him sitting on a beach, and it wasn't a pretty sight.

I know David is a bit reptilian but I don't think he has scales.

His whole "I know people who didn't eat for a week and then they died" thing was hilarious. It's not like they are miles from civilisation. They are on a TV show! Even Jason D couldn't keep his face straight. They might not be getting much to eat, but they can be sustained on rice (carb) and beans (protein) if they balance it properly. I think I'd rather have that than Alligator tail stew if I'm honest.

I wonder if any of them actually pause consider that a large proportion of the world's population would be happy to have a regular supply of rice and beans and fresh water.

Not many, but then how many of us really do when stocking up our shopping trolleys of an evening.
I'm not disputing they are hungry, but they aren't THAT hungry. They were moaning about lack of food practically as soon as they got there. They must have seen the show by now to know that food is rationed.
I do think that they should get the chest contents having gone through basically a trial to get it. I don't think it should be down to the lottery of an A or B question. The effort was all in the retrieving of the chest.

Well not 2 stone, but he's certainly losing weight you can see it in his face, which I've noticed is definitely getting more handsome as the days go on

Anyone who's been on a crash diet (obviously not an advisable thing) will know you lose a lot start with - maybe six or so pounds in the first week and then it all gets more difficult as your natural defences kick in. So 2 stone, definitely not (and how would he know anyway)?

Whatever the weight loss, David Gest looks less weird by the day.

What's he moaning about - he needed to lose some pounds, although I very much doubt it was 2 stone. You could hardly accuse him of wasting away!

Yes !

And he has lost 2 stone

Although as this thread was stated a week ago, he probably hadn't at that point - but it is a bit weird that he said it, then it was true !
