Nokia 3250 firmware update?

is it possible to update the firmware of my Nokia 3250 without going to a local nokia service point?

Nope, in case you didnt know, Carphone Warehouse are Nokia service centres and do it for free if your within your 12 month warranty

does that warenty cover sim free bought phones? with no insurance bought from them? lol

it covers any nokia and the warrenty period is now 24 months
but you can do it yourself here

I got the firmware update and it stopped the very annoying time lag on sending SMS messages.

Except now it's slowed down again, thanks for the link - seems to be a little app that sorts it out. Will give it a whirl!

Not overly happy with the phone though. The software is more functional, but less stable than my old and beloved 7610.

Nokia are diabolical recently... I was looking at the N80 a couple of weeks ago, Vodafone have withdrawn it due to 'ongoing software issues'. Went for the W850i, which has never slowed down, or crashed in the 3 weeks i've had it.
