According to the Sun Xmas TV Guide today, there is also a Xmas Festive special - doesn't give days for that or the final though, so not a great guide!!
Oh no not the final on 16th December I have tickets for the theatre and I have to go!! I cannot believe it!! I have been so looking forward to SCD each Saturday evening and now I will miss the final!! I know I can tape it but it is not the same as LIVE. EKKKKKKKKKKKKK
It's starting to look odds on 16th December with 23rd as a festive filler. I wish we could have a definitive answer tho. Trying to arrange a friendly get-together for final night (men in the kitchen with beer, women in sitting room with a bottles of mother's ruin and children floating from X-Factor to SCD - not gender stereotyping - just exactly what happened last year).

Nope, there should be 7 couples left at this stage, but Tarbuck left, so.....not.
Instead of having the usual 3 in the final may make the 'spare' week a semi therefore leaving the final as a straight 2 horse race!! Would be able to fill it with more professional dancing and would make quite good sense.

No there's the "Exciting twist" to come.
It will always be a three couple final. The third couple is to split the vote so the favourite doesn't make the result a foregone conclusion as far as the viewers are concerned and people will still vote.
Thanks for all your replies, it still doesn't seem clear though, does it?! Last year's final was 17th December and then there was a Christmas special the week after, so I was thinking it would be roughly the same dates....
Hey Claudia... if you're reading the forum, can you let us know please?!

It doesn't have to be a three couple final. Series 1 didn't have a three couple final.
Admittedly, it was rubbish, becuase everyone knew that N&B would win. But I wouldn't rule it out 100%.
