I was cooking kids tea so grabbed what I could, but why was Lilias face not on the front of Darren Goughs book?

Do you think he didnt want to share loyalties?

Because maybe the book is about him?

Just a guess.

dunno - but it was a pretty weird photo to pick for the books cover!

Maybe it wasn't Lilia - they got a body double in for the photo shoot so she had to have her face hidden!

DerChef says

Maybe that photo was NOT actually Lilia but a stand in.

As she was off competing elsewhere at the time of the shoot

Oh Yeah

Does anybody else think that Lillia was looking a bit serious when watching the Paso at the end of the show???

The title of this thread makes no sense ! I initially thought...there's two Darren Gough's ? LOL !

It is a shame Lilia didn't feature - either as others have said it was a stand in or Darren wanted the exposure for himself. As it is, it just looks ridiculous. If it were a stand-in, at least have her back facing the camera whilst in hold or something !

Anyone else gutted we didn't get to see the penguins?!

I did figure it wasnt Lilia, seems to me Darren wants royalties to himself which is a shame as without Lilia I doubt he would of got past the second round.

And yes i did think Lilias face looked like thunder at the end mind you dont blame her.

When Claudia chastised him for not having Lilias photo
on the front, he said well she's got plenty of coverage inside. (on photos).
Typical Goughie, always wanting to hog the limelight.
Anybody else think he looked a bit Billy Bunter-ish ?

I think he seemed really offish and seemed to have a tinge of arrogance.
But I thought he was far to over-rated.

I salute him for getting children dancing but other than that I've never warmed to him and it was a trevesty Colin didn't win last year.

I find it a bit pretentious of Darren to write/'allow to ghost-write on his behalf' a book on dancing and conveniently bring it out during the present SCD series. I would rather buy a book from one of the professionals any day. When I hear that, I think that Colin would have made a better champion and I'm sure he would have allowed his partner to appear on the cover of the book.

No wonder Lilia looked fuming she is obviously very good at what she does she is even making Matt look like a dancer.

I just feel he is not good enough to teach as I never really rated him. To me it just seems MONEY to me and obviously the man has not much loyalty.

But go Claudia for asking why it was not Lilia on cover

I know, it smacks of commerical opportunism. Making a buck off Strictly. If any winner should have done a book it's Jill or was a.) amazing and b.) went on to do it professionally.

Colin has always been the winner for me, regarldess of the GBP.

I know Ian and Camilla have a DVD out am so tempted to buy it, and I think Jill halfpenny had the charisma and skill to do a book totally agree with you.

Lilia looked far from chuffed!!
I forgot how full of himself Goughie is, I agree I would be
more likely to buy a dance book by the actual pro's.

I didn't think she looked fuming, but that might just be my interpretation. I thought she was concentrating, looking at the techniques, while Darren, who was looking offscreen sometimes, was just enjoying the performance.

You didn't see the penguins because they are part of a Persil campaign.
The big Persil logo on the huge board on the wall behind Darren at the Leapfrog nursery was blotted out in post production.
Claudia quickly moved the conversation away from the penguins because of this.

Oh Damn the BBC and their advertising policy I've yet to meet anybody who doesn't love a Penguin!

Cheers for the info Doghouse Riley.

For cryin' out loud! How can you say that?
Neither you nor I have any idea what Colin would have done!

Well, he certainly would have been gentlemanly enough to share the cover with Erin - if he was going to use a dance photo.

And I'm also sure he's capable enough of writing his own book!

Of course I don't know, it is just the impression I get having seen both of these individuals on my TV over a number of weeks.

It seems crazy that the beeb won't allow 'the Persil penguins ' on yet allow free advertising for the new CD's of Michael Bolton,Nelly Furtado and the hideous rock mangling Michael Ball
