Don't know about the homophobic bit, but the 'yes, that's a man's dance' (in Barnsley drawl) did annoy me!

I think we have Len to thank for the whole man's dance, dancing like a man comments.

Yes, I found Darren entertaining until he brought out that man's man line again!

And I'm not having a go at his accent, but his sentence structure is appalling! He needs to go for elocution lessons.

And maybe loyalty lesson while he is there.

I didn't mind Darren at the time, although I did think Colin was the better dancer and wanted him to win. But he really did get on my nerves last night and watching the paso back I was surprised by how bad it seemed. Just ended up thinking, "How the hell did he manage to win?" which I'm sure wasn't the intention.

I still have the scar and picture of the nasty penguin.
wont get too close next time lol!”

I would think all animals that have to survive in the wild under very harsh conditions are vicious (think polar bears!). It's a survival thing. We can't really expect them to behave as cute as they look so we can take their picture. Or perhaps you forgot to ask permission??

Don't forget that performance was only around week four though, and in fairness to him it was better than what Colin produced that week. I was quite surprised they didn't show the version from the final actually, as there was quite a marked improvement. I voted for Colin for most of the series and then switched to Darren at the final. I know that Colin was generally better but I do think the competition is about learning to dance, and Colin was very talented from the start. I just felt that Darren had achieved more. He had also begun to produce more entertaining performances, even if they weren't as technically accomplished.

This conversation about Darren deliberately not having Lilia on the front cover is making me laugh- if you take the trouble to look inside the book, there are dozens of photos of the two of them together which were specially shot, as well as some comments from Lilia on each of Darren's performances. There's no way she wouldn't have been paid for her input.

I know I watched last nights Paso and thought the exact same thing it was not what I would expect of a champion.
I wasnt a Colin or Zoe fan but I did think that Colin Or Zoe ball should of won.
maybe his ego has got a bit big!

The one that attacked me was in Seaworld - so it wasn't wild ... although it did look pretty hacked off ...

Yes- that's why I agree with those people who suggested she wasn't available for that particular photo shoot. I doubt her fee would have been much affected by her appearing on the front cover.

O please of course it would it is the main selling point of the book.

But Darren is the the celebrity and the recognisable name, he got the book deal, it's his book.

Lilia may contribute but that can be comparable to writing a foreword. The book is not called learn to dance with Darren and Lilia!

Seeing Gough again just reminded me how annoying he was last year. Not having Lilia star on the cover (or at least not so that you can see her face) is such an insult and seems to point out that arrogant side of him which irritated me so much last year. And seeing the paso, I was again bemused how he ever managed to win - his arms were so awful. The Barnsley Boy's boiled my blood again!

Might take it a few thousand years more of evolution though to forget its orgins and remember its manners

Why are we talking about penguins anyway ???

Well to me it seemed quite a nice effect of Lilia's body on the front cover....looked quite classy!

If Lilia didnt mind, we really shouldn't!

Cant wait to buy it- You many not have liked Darren last series, but some of us did, and yoyu have to get over the fact he won due to the most amazing transformation ont he show. Lilia is a star.

Because a lot of people think that dancingt is for gay6 men only...wahts wrong with letting it be known that not all dances are 'girly'?

I know, didn't like him last year, like him even less now. All this talk of bias this year towards Emma is NOTHING compared to the Darren bias last year when his children were used to bolster the "Ahhh, bless" vote and even appeared on ITT ! I know for a fact my Great Aunt spent £5 of her pension last year voting for "that nice man who taught his kiddies to dance too". Children In Need single eat your heart out.

It is an insult to Lilia, I can't see it can be any other way or else why would Claudia have even brougt it up ? Clearly she thinks it's bizarre as well. They were a team, a couple - to obscure your dancing partner in a rather humiliating way (not even her back to camera, but looking like she was in the middle of a hurricane) is just such bad form.

I'm still sore either Colin or Zoe didn't win, specifically Colin though who was just amazing throughout.

Much rather have seen more training footage than the huge amount of time chatting to Darren Gough last night (although he did say he supported Mark and Matt) but he wasn't my cup of tea last year and I too wish Colin had won. Maryjay

Fair enough that you didnt like Darren and didnt want him on ITTY, we all have our favourites, but its jsut the same with zoe- who gets to do a pro samba, which has slightly more viewers!

I hate seeing the celebs pimping their wares, but the hilarious presenting on My Brilliant Sports Quiz or whatever it was called, made it well worth while. It was funnier than that tosspot Leigh Francis, anyway.

Um no, not really. Zoe made no money out of doing a group Samba, and was actually dancing on a dancing show whereas Darren was on plugging not one but TWO products, one totally unrelated to Strictly.

I ordered the book today based on that story!

Imagine queueing for a cab with Brendan, Darren and a hammered Dennis Taylor!
