Will we be here in a year's time saying how rubbish Mark's salsa was compared to Mr. X's?”

LOL ! Well, I was a lone voice ! I said the Paso was rubbish last year, and I'm still saying it. Although I didn't post here last year, I held the side up elsewhere.

Natasha and certainly Jill haven't suffered the same fate, and I think it's becuase they won purley becuase of the dancing whereas I don't thinkt he same can be said of Darren. If Mark wins, and we don't get emotive little films about his kids, he doesn't injure himself, and he doesn't fall in love with Karen and it's wholly becuase he blows everyone away with his dancing then no, I think he'll be fonldy remembered as a winner.

Very bizarre mental image of him and Ian doing the salsa in those neon-coloured all-in-one suit things now

The BBC had an angle, and they used it so it was an unfair advantage for Darren or rather, the continued use of it *became* an advantage for Darren. I doubt the BBC set out out to make him a winner.

You really can't fail when you show inspiring children to dance, no matter how many mates you get on, that will always be a winner with the GBP.”

But - it's horses for courses isn't it.

I see a cute child wheeled out and it has the reverse effect and just want to throw things at the tele - in fact we do Kleenx moments counts in our house (current winner Joseph and Sadie from SDF but some of the X-factor contestants are creeping up there)

Jonny Ball crying over Zoe had my mum in bits (I've never liked Jonny Ball - no one should be that perky about sums) and gave Zoe a couple of votes she wouldn't have had without that, but Darren and his offspring completely passed her by.

And, like I say, I remain stoically unmoved by any VT
