Did Toyah Fluff a Line?
In tonight's Corrie, when Toyah and Norris are at Emily's bed, she says (about Rita) "She didn't say it, but she looked old."
Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that is a bit odd. Maybe she meant tired instead? |

yeah i was a bit confused by that sentence!!! looks like its a mistake or very bad english byt the writers!

If you say somebody "looked old" it means that they look tired, i.e. losing sleep - "You could tell her age, she looked really old because of it..."
Hope that clears it up. |

Yes, that's true, but in the context of that sentence it didn't actually make sense.
