Awwww, have a hug

Don't get upset, do what I do when my favourites are getting bashed and stick to their 'fan' threads, leads to a much more stress free posting time, and I get quite enough stress on Saturday night worrying about 'my' couple getting through (still not completely dried out after Saturday )

When you say dried out AK - what are you talking about - alcohol or tena lady

To be honest with you funkyfairy, I tend to work on the principal that the 'fan' threads are places were not a lot of bashing takes place (but seeing as how I'm not a particular fan of anyone I tend to keep out of those) but the other threads are open to any comment.

Oh it was alcohol, there's a group of us on the GMR thread who are looking to see if The Priory do group discounts after last Saturday

Never knowingly bashed anyone. But I know how you feel, a little lonely on Carol's site as well.

I'm a big Emma fan but I don't tend to post a lot about her since everyone seems not to like her, whatever she does. They are people's opinions, which they are perfectly entitled to, but I just don't have the energy to defend her, particularly as there seem to be so many on here that don't like her and I don't like getting into arguments.

I still intend to vote loads for her on saturday, and hope her American Smooth blows everyone away.

How sensible you are, accepting this message board for what it is, just somewhere to post a bit of positive or negative trivia, which will slide off the front page if others had the sense to let it instead of constantly dragging it back.
Some obviously think it's more serious than just a bit of fun.

In the end we're just talking about a telly programme. How sad is that anyway?

Oh Funkyfairy, don't take it so seriously. I think what has happened to Emma is what happend on Ice Dancing with Bonnie Langford when she became the ice skater everyone hated cos she was a trained dancer, had done Peter Pan (which means she was used to flying around a theatre,) was seen to have too many advantages in the competition and everyone complained about her and in the end, she did not win!! The BBC have made a huge mistake in praising Emma and pushing her so much in this competition and it has turned a lot of the British public off her!! I really enjoy the Forum and LOL at some of the posting!!

This may be true from the perspective of the "competition" and I wonder what the other competitors really think about it.

From the point of the BBC, it was a "good thing" as they are more concened with beating X-factor in the ratings war and this would have helped no end.

I'm here still loving Emma and trying to defend her when possible, purely because I don't think any celebrity(or professional) that takes part in the show deserves to be slated each week, as they gove up so much time to get it right; all for the public and our entertainment

I've completely given up on defending my favourite couple, I now have a much more plesant time playing in their 'fan' threads. I get more then enough stress everyday at work, so I've made the concious decision to just keep to the light fluffy bits in here

Not really - I've never bashed Emma or anyone else. However, I am sick of the Emma-bashing and the Emma counter-bashing/bashing of the Emma bashers and anything else to do with bloody Emma. I'm almost at the point of wanting her out so this place can sort of get back to normal...

Let's not worry about it. It's just a TV show and there have been favourites in all the SCD series.

If Emma's out then she's out - somebody's got to go each week and so be it.

I remember bashing used to be a term associated to Zoe as well.

This place was far, far more sanitised last year - no-one was allowed to say anything negative at all.

So what was the point of saying anything?

I can just imagine it.

"I like X

So do I

I think they're great

I hope they win

Me too!"

i think it's fine to say if you don't think somebody is good at dancing as this is what the show is about and we all have our favourites..it's when it gets to people saying personal things about different people that threads go off course

funkyfairy, I'm behind them, and Matt and Lilia, all the way! I know how you feel!

And Doghouse, that's how a lot of people expect everyone to be about Mark and Karen...
