I don't want to have to keep reaching around the back of my TV to swap cables around, so I'm looking for a component cable switchbox. The only one I can find is here:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...Pr-70-3cb.html

and I've heard bad things about it - apparently it causes wavy lines and slight ghosting.

Can anyone advise me on where to find a good one, please?

if you only need 2 inputs and 1 output then the JS Technology Master Component Controller is what you need

£55 - but the best - i use one with a 50" plasma and can confirm the pq

There are plenty of switch boxes out there just Google ... but they seem quite expensive for the simple task required.

Someone from the AVforum recommended using a Composite/Audio switch box instead (same RCA connectors just colour coded differently) as they can be had for around £20 (Maplins N46CK). Whether you would get any degradation of the signal I don't know.

yes there are cheaper but tbh why take pot luck - the JS version is proven and highly rated by av enthusiasts who know their kit

just ask on AV Forums

I use this one - £120 quid but worth every single penny.

Had it for 6 months and have run Sky HD, Gamecube, DVD Recorder and DVD HDD Recorder through it.

You should seriously consider spending a bit more if you've got a decent TV.

And it comes with remote so you don't even have to get off the sofa to switch!!
