Good to hear you're a minidisc user, iain. Perhaps we've found something to agree on.

Everyone should own a minidisc player if they can afford one. They're great.

If http://www.minidisco.com doesn't have what you're looking for, it probably doesn't exist.

i'm sure we'd agree on a lot of things mrp - good to see you again (as it were) after the whole FA debacle (although I thought it was a great debate - I think we should have won a prize!)

indeed, md is excellent. or at least to have as a walkman - the portability of tape, the convenience of cd, plus the ability to edit etc, and the added advantage of being smaller than, and more protected than, cd.

what more does anybody need? (very annoyed to have gotten my second md walkman just before the LP models came out. not to mention the net md models....)

cheers for the site - i'll have a look.

Iain

Yeah.does anyone have a net MD.I am thinking of getting one just now.Save having to use cdrs all the time and you can delete a track if your fed up with it copared to a cdr.I have a mini disc recorder in my hi fi.Does anyone know if I could even connect this to my pc.It has a digital input around the back of the hifi.Would this work?.

I'm no expert, but I don't see why not. Just use the headphone socket on your PC as an out, and press record. That's how I record MP3s.

Mini-discs are 9,374 times better than recordable CDs. It's official, that.

I buy my minidisc label from discountdiscs.co.uk very reliable. Not sure what you mean by laminated though, if they were laminated how could you print on them? The one's I buy come in packs of 180 and are compatible with the minidisc template on Nero.
By the way I own 3 minidisc players (1 on my hi-fi and 2 personal ones, I love 'em all, how they have never really took off in a big way is beyond me!)

i did see ones once ages ago that had a laminate cover you could peel over the label, once you had written on it.

Can I just say:

YOU PONCE!

Just write it on a normal label - you'll record over whatever it is in a few months' anyway, with T.A.T.U. tracks no doubt.

I think if MD was promoted and pushed like DVD has, i think people would cath on eventually, remebr how everyone said DVD would never take off... now look at it! Most people probably dont know what MD does or is!
