The romance part may not be true, but the 'speculation' part is. Huge banner on the front pge of the Mirror today with photo's of 'the kiss' shot from a distance.

Lol! Just seen it on the Mirror website. I'm afraid it looks posed.

I haven't seen a copy of the Mirror up close. Do the pictures on the front actually show them kissing?

Right at the start of the competition I thought these two were the obvious ones if there was going to be any SCD 'romance'. Though since then its come across more a platonic relationship.

True or not the story won't do them any harm that's for sure - but I can't imagine it will make a huge difference votes wise.

It's difficult to tell as it's shot frm the back of Claire's head so they could in actuality be a long way apart but from a distance looks like they're kissing. They certainly have their heads close together though and if memory serves, Brendan has his eyes closed.

I'd never have guessed them for a romance at the start - she's far too dominant for him, but having seem them together over six weeks they seem to get along really well and I'd be very pleased for them if true.

If the romance is handled 'well', it could be dynamite. If handled 'badly', they could get a backlash. It depends if there's a clever PR person behind it or not.

Ah cheers. Yes when I glanced at it in the newsagents it did look like they were kissing. But you never know with these pap shots!

I've seen the photos and you can't tell anything. It isn't like the photographer is anywhere near them. I'm sure they have a close friendship after so many hours spent together over the last weeks but can't imagine there being anything more - Claire is a bit too old for him anyway. Even if they were kissing, it really doesn't mean anything - even friends kiss sometimes

Did anyone who thinks it wouldn't matter not endure the James/Camilla obsession?

I thought (but I wouldn't swear to it) at some point this series he sort of said that this time he had a partner where there was no (or no chance or something) of a romantic spark.

Saw the picture at lunchtime - it looked to me like she could have been giving him a kiss on the cheek. But it was a blurry picture.

i've noticed scd seems to be a very kissy competition - they all seem to kiss each other in the training rooms, just before they go on the floor and then after the dance.....9 times out of 10 theres no romance in it...
i kiss my male friends all the time in a 'friend' way....

Yep I'm sure Brendan did say that.

I highly doubt its true i.e. Brendan and Claire getting it on!!!!!

OOo can anyone remember where they heard Brendan say that?No i don;t think there is anyhting romantic going on, though I do believe they are the most comfortable couple and that they have a deep understanding of one another.

Brendan has denied it publicly and Natasha has never spoken publicly about it, but its one of the worst kept secrets in showbusiness.

I mean seriously, would you break up your professional partnership, your personal engagement, and move out of your house if your fiancee had been completely faithful to you and it was just tabloid gossip?

As for the King/Cole romance what B"llocks. As if either would look at the other.

I agree, i'm sorry but it looks very posed and the timing is just a bit too convenient for all of this gossip to come out.

I've seen the pics and think Brendan looks more shocked at 'the kiss' his eyes seem very wide if IMHO also on the pic inside he appears to be wearing a microphone

When I read that in the paper earlier I said exactly the same thing to the parentals

I don't think there is anything in the story........they were probably "papped" having a meal........yes,one pic seems to show Brendan kissing Claire on the cheek (maybe lips) when they don't seem to be aware of the camera.......but if you watch SCD and the training etc......... how many times have you seen that......

The pic inside the paper is posed........so i think they became aware of being papped some time during the meal and just thought ........ah well give him a pic and he might go away.
