"Jim", are you SimSam? I have to ask, as you signed up the day he was banned and are making the exact same type of posts he used to.

Words right out of my mouth. Seriously though I wouldn't mind finding out what the date of episode shown yesterday was as a result of the forums being shut down.

it was from May 1991, perhaps from May 11, 1991. I didn't take that much notice when it was on due to a slight case of a hangover! I do remember seeing the #1 was Cher at the top for her third week and in the BBC chart the following day she was at #1 for the third week. The official top 10 from the next day, the Sunday, was:

01 01 The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss) Cher
02 02 Last Train To Trancentral KLF Featuring The Children Of The Revolution
03 NE Gypsy Woman (La Da Dee) Crystal Waters
04 03 Sailing On The Seven Seas Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
05 07 Touch Me (All Night Long) Cathy Dennis
06 15 Promise Me Beverley Craven
07 04 Senza Una Donna (Without A Woman) Zucchero Featuring Paul Young
08 10 There's No Other Way Blur
09 08 Get The Message Electronic
10 NE Tainted Love Soft Cell Featuring Marc Almond

does that tie up with what they played?

It was May 11th 1991, can easily be dated purely because of the fact there was a Dance Chart- as the 1/6/91 edition shown back in December had one, as does the 22/6/91 edition on YouTube, and obviously the charts were shown once every 3 weeks.

I a can esure you that I haven't got the faintist idea who this SimSam guy is. I only wanted to know that date of this weeks episode because I watched the episode and throughly enjoyed. I loved the song by the KLF - Last Train To Transcentral who was no.1 in the dance chart. Also JamesTV 2001 have found anything else about the 1995 episodes.

Must be related then, same charming reparte, and appaling grammar. Perhaps now we can look forward to two thrilling Chart Show tribute websites.

Come on guys, I'm sure it's just one big coincidence.

Although this has nothing to do with the chart show I saw a programme last night on channel 4 with David Walliams & Matt Lucas and it had Network 7. I was wondering if network 7 on this forum was anything to do with this.

Network 7 was a Channel 4 Sunday show.

My username refers to 7 Network from Australian TV.

I can see where the connection came from, it seems quite common to connect names on this thread.

It's so hard to believe when someone signs up the same day another member is banned and makes the exact same posts in the exact same style on the exact same subject. It's very hard not to get a teensy bit suspicious.

True; maybe we should all have a whip-round and try to buy the Vault a D2 tape machine to play the episodes from the other years?

Even without a D2 & 1" machine, there's still plenty of episodes from 1991, 1992, 1996, 1997 and 1998 they haven't shown. Why go back to one we've already seen? I'd be tempted to say they've put it out by accident, but when they did that before the advert breaks appeared in random places (where they would have been if the correct episode had gone out) where that hasn't happenned today. I'll wait till Thursday and see if they show a different episode then.

Yes that a great idea Jason Then would be ble to see the best era of the chartshow 1993 - 1995. I love this era because it was when britpop was at it's peak and dance was still good as well.
