Since viewing Cray's clips in this last week alone I've already been on ebay and bought 4 old dance singles and albums by Bennett, Symposium, Midget and Kerbdog and I'm just looking right now for a copy of Soapy's Horny As Funk

Oh and I've my clips on for over 6 months now and 'nothing' has ever been said to me.

Well if you take all the TV and music clips off, what would be the point of YouTube.

Oh I got another email from Sony/BMG about copyright infrigement from my latest video upload. This time again, they've allowed it on. Out of 71 videos, I've had 7 videos, which have had emails about copyright infridgements. Anyway its great to see some early and late chart show vids. Cray, have you got all top tens singles charts from 1995 to 1998 to be put on youtube ??

Sad to say but i only have a couple of Top Ten singles charts

I'm having a certain case of deju vu as the Chart Show has once more disappeared from SkyGuide for Saturday and Sunday to be replaced this time with Hunkz and Honeyz. It still down for Wednesday at 5pm. But for how long?

It's still listed on The Vault's website, and on Digiguide. It's also listed on the TV Guide on Sky's website. We'll have to see.

As a person who doesn't have the vault channel on my cable tv, it seems to be they've completely made a cock up of things lately.

Cray, keep up with the good work . I've been keeping a library of all the chart show vids on my youtube profile. Those from the Top 10 and the Specialist Charts to the rare Reggae and Music Videos Charts.

I hope it's a mistake. And we do see the Chart Show tomorrow afternoon.

It's not on- again . I think that's it now- the end of the run.

No sign of The Chart Show.

It's still down for Wednesday but usually the listings on Sky for the Vault don't update until 24-48 hours before. As for next Saturday, it's Top 10 Hits from 2-6pm.

The daft thing about record companies reporting videos on YouTube is that they're not actually against YouTube itself because all the major labels have their own official channels. So I'm not sure what their problem is!

I think these record companies are now started to realise these chart show vids are helping them. On YouTube, they've got a choice of either getting rid of videos or allowing to stay on. The conditions of videos staying on, is that they can put adverts or their logos next to the videos. Plus they can get statistics on how many people are watching the videos.

In the past, I know many youtube users had their accounts deleted, because of record companies were moaning about their videos being used without royalty or permission. Hopefully I won't be eating my words, if they delete my youtube account !!!

I must admit, as a very nostalgic person, I remember the show vaguely when I was younger, but thanks to Youtube, I really like The Chart Show. Never seeing the repeats was a bit of a bummer but I found out on Tuesday they were brought back - only to find out they weren't actually on.

I'm just hoping it's a case of they've moved the showings to Wednesdays and it's not a to-be-changed error.

The emails I recieved from record companies occurred on the same day as I uploaded their videos. If you haven't heard from UMG about the Def Leppard video for more than a couple of days, then you're actually safe.

YouTube has an electronic finger printing system, which finds out which videos infringe copyrights and the record companies have an agreement with youtube about what they can do with the videos.

I love to know what the record companies policies are on their videos uploaded on youtube by individuals, because some people have had videos allowed on and others have had their videos removed or worse their youtube account deleted.

Wednesday's been updated to show that the 5pm slot has been replaced with Hunkz and bloody Honeyz again.

So long Chart Show...

That was a very short revival. Stupidly short. It's not as if they gave it long enough to see how many viewers were tuning in, and while there were the teething problems we all know about, they were just that- teething problems- and could have been ironed out.

oh no, it's such a shame they've taken it off already. I used to love the Chart Show, but only saw this thread two weeks ago and tuned in each time, but of course they stopped showing them! So I never even got to see one episode repeated on there. Such a shame.

I can't believe it's only lasted a month. What was the point of bringing it back if they were never going to give it a chance. We only got 2 weekends worth.

Obviously they were having problems with it, but i agree that it could have been sorted out.

I just hope this is why it's been taken off - so they can sort out the problems they have with it.

Surprisingly, The Chart Show has remained on the EPG this morning. (It disappeared on Saturday morning) I hope it's not a late change...

Another week, no Chart Show, though at least it wasn't scheduled this week. Such a shame- a repeat run that wasn't given a chance. No on-air promotion that I'm aware of and technical problems. Such a shame- if they'd ironed out the technical problems and given it some promotion, I'm sure it could have been succesful this time.

Well folks, my chart show video has been removed from YouTube, because of copyright infringement. Its very sad that record companies with hugh amount of resources can just pick on individuals who upload old chart show vids, which can help promote artists. I'm not too sure whether another record company is going to remove my videos again, but with youtube, its the policy of "three strikes and you're out". This is what YOUTUBE has sent me below:

Dear Member:
This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by MUSIC FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP claiming that this material is infringing:
ITV Chart Show Top Ten (26th August 1989): http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Y89PNM8ASdw
Please Note: Repeated incidents of copyright infringement will result in the deletion of your account and all videos uploaded to that account. In order to prevent this from happening, please delete any videos to which you do not own the rights and refrain from uploading additional videos that infringe on the copyrights of others. For more information about YouTube's copyright policy, please read the Copyright Tips guide.
If you elect to send us a counter notice, please go to our Help Centre to access the instructions.
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the Copyright Act, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may be subject to liability.
Sincerely,
YouTube, Inc.

Well it seems that MUSIC FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP did not like the Jive Bunny videos on YouTube. Hence, why they've removed my video. When I checked it out, all the Jive Bunny videos on youtube had the statement "this video was removed because MUSIC FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP has stated copyright infringement". Once I realised that, I had upload the video again, but this time remove the "offending" number 1 song. Its amazing how threatning a cartoon bunny is to a record company !!!
