what was the 1995 title sequence like because i have never seen it. was it the same as the 91 - 94 titles??

There were two title sequences in between the December 91 and May 96 titles. One introduced in May 1993 was similar in style to the 1991 set with planes flying around on a weird planet except it started off in a docking bay where the planes flew out of it via the Twix logo which opened to reveal the exterior.

There was another one introduced around 18 months later set in a big city made of musical instruments where the majority took place flying through the inside of a trumpet with electric guitars and piano keyboards hurtling towards the screen. The Twix logo was an aerial shot of a tall building. It was at this stage that the show changed its name back to "The Chart Show" from "ITV Chart Show".

The theme music remained the same with new arrangements made for both titles and all of the stings from 1991 were kept apart from the Top 10 intro which was altered in 1993 and resembled a pinball machine IIRC. That's what I can remember anyway!

I'm glad you can remember it so well, my memories virtually a blank to those graphics for some reason. I watched the show virtually every week back then as well, so god knows why I can't remember it.

BTW Gaz, will you please get back to me on the Private Message I sent you?

How do you expect us to know? The EPG doesn't say, there hasn't been a trailer this week. As usual, there's no way of knowing until it actually comes on.

Looks like August 8th 1992 today.

And a very nasty drop-out at the start of the episode- looks like the original tape got damaged!

And they should do something about the title sequence on the 1992 episodes- it's out of sync! I fixed it in 5 minutes in Adobe premiere by splicing the bit in from at the start of the second part, I'm suprised they haven't done this.

Didn't The Chart Show make up their own chart? Maybe they used The Pepsi/Network Chart chart but I don't think they did.....

It's the Rock Chart. Come on! All 3 eps we've had from 1992 so far have been Rock. Where's the Dance & Indie?

Yes, they did. In the end credits, you see the name "Dave Howling", he was the bloke responsible for ringing round record shops and getting their sales data.

And I'm still hoping for 1986-90 and 93-95 eps. As I've already said, I've seen the bumpers that appear during the ad breaks that say 1986, 89 and 90- surely something must be hapenning?
