No it was funny & true, he's watched it before & knew what was expected & that their are mechanical aligators.

Ant and Dec were perfectly entitled to call him a coward. Presumably when "celebrities" are booked on to the show, they have to give some kind of indication that they know what is involved and that they are prepared to take it on.

Which he knew perfectly well when in came to Jan and what she'd say, to why the public would vote for her.

So yeah he was a coward, he knew what was at steak by doing or even trying to attempt the trails, but declined, to avoid any discomfort or stress because he knew he could.
