I also particularly enjoyed the male group dance - East Coast and West Coast Swing in week 2.

Series 3 -- Darren and Lilia -- almost all of them but loved Paso and foxtrot and showdance

series 4 so far -- Louisa and Vincent -- Tango

Matt & Lilia's waltz! I adore the waltz!!! also really liked Carol & Matt's quickstep.

Matt & Lilia's waltz and Karen & Mark's salsa (although the latter was as much about the music [the band were fantastic] as it was about the dancing)

1st- Karen and Mark Salsa
2nd- Ray and Camilla Waltz
3rd- Louisa and Vincents Jive

Season 1 - Brendan and Natashas Paso
Season 2 - Jill and Darrens Jive
Season 3 - Zoe and Ians Tango
Season 4 (so far) - Matt and Lilias Waltz

Clare and Brendan's Foxtrot, great choice of music and great cherography to match it. Unfortunately it has been largely ignored because of Brendan's outburst on that night. He has valid point though.

Without question Mark and Karen's Salsa. For two reasons:-

1.) It's Mark and Karen

2.) And if that was not enough then, in the VT preceeding the dance Karen stated that the Salsa was the one dance that shouldn't be over-disciplined and that it was more about two people having a great time and their obvious enjoyment filtering through to those around them. And undoubtedly, the routine, music and atmosphere generated by their Salsa achieved this in fantastic measurel. As a non-dancer, I just found it toe-tappingly infectious.

If they reach the final, this dance will probably be the one most people will be looking forward to. And if they do as well, they will score the 10's the dance richly deserves.

Now there will be pedantics amongst you, who will argue that I'm not being very objective and that this competition should primarily be about dance, technique etc and all that garbage. You are of course entitled to your point of view, but I would argue you talking inane drivel. The vast majority of viewers will be non-dancers and as such will base their preferences on a whole multitude of subjective criteria many of which will have little to do with dance.

Peter and Erin's Samba (Yes, Peter was crap and fantastic in equal measure)

Loiuse and Vincent's Jive

James and Camillas American Smooth series three also their Tango.
From series four it has to be the pro dance from last Saturday

Season 3 - Colin & Erin's American Smooth
Season 4 - (so far) - Carol & Matthew's Salsa... her floorspin was incredible

Series 1 - didn't watch, everytime I flicked to it Chris Parker was on

Series 2 - Jill's jive and just about any Denise ballroom routine

Series 3 - Zoe's Tango, brilliant

Series 4 - Mark's Salsa, for all the reasons Crapdancer lists above and Mark's Paso, brilliant and dramatic

Over all Mark's Salsa wins over Jill's jive, but that maybe to do with the fact I didn't have a huge 12 year old girl style crush on Jill (apologies to any 12 year old girls reading this, they're probably a lot more sensible where the lovely Mark's concerned then I am )

Didn't see series one, but

Series Two: Jill and Darren Jive
Series Three: Colin and Erin Quickstep
Series Four: Matt and Lilia American Smooth

Superb. That is exactly why it's not only my dance of this series but of all 4 series to date. Yes I'm a fan of M&K but as a non-dancer I have never enjoyed a routine more - it was an explosion of infectious joy.

Zoe and Ian's tango... Brendan and Claires American Smooth and Foxtrot... Louisa and Vincents Jive...

Ditto. Those three dances had the wow factor for me.
