Don't know if it's been mentioned already but Nikki Grahame, Celeb is in NOTW mag Stars on Sunday pg 9. Nikki always makes me smile and seeing her picture made me smile again as I realised she's a style icon too.

Thanks for letting us know cressida. Good for her. I think Nikki always looks great. She dresses well for her age, young and funky without looking trashy. Who would have thought the girl who entered the house in a bunny outfit would one day be hailed as a style icon

Never before has BB seen such an honest entertaining housemate.

It's interesting to think that being in the house was probably the first time in her life that Nikki has been forced to interact with other people on such a personal level.
She couldn't hide the personal problems that she carries with her as a residue from her traumatic child/young adulthood.
Due to her condition she must have had such a closeted exisitence for most of her life , and the social skills that we all learn and take for granted as part of the normal growing up process had been denied to her.
Living at home where she would be totally understood or on her own in her flat it would have been easy to organise her life to fit her various needs.
Having to consider other peoples needs that may have been in direct conflict of her more deep rooted needs was an obvious problem, and many of her fellow housemates failed to understand or chose to ignore her needs.
She never openly talked about her problems or tried to garner any sympathy from her housemates or the public.
She just tried to cope the best she could. Of course she made many mistakes, as anyone with her problems would.
I loved the way she took to wearing that little fur rimmed coat all the time towards the end of her stay in the house.
She was never false to her own feelings (this caused her many a problem) and she always did or said what came naturally , and if this meant upsetting or getting on the wrong side of someone then so be it.
She never gave any false praise to ingratiate herself with the other housemates and she expected none in return.

I am not usually bothered about BB contestants after they leave the show, but I do wish Nikki all the best for the future. She made BB for me this year, although it did take a few weeks for her to 'grow on me'. I agree with every word of your post Realistic and she was indeed 'something different'

Nikki: I can't sleep, someone is fermenting a gastronic smell the whole room stinks of fart ... I am going to sleep in the diary room. (Reclines in DR chair)
BB: ..........Nikki.....Housemates are not permitted to sleep in the diary room. (Nikki laughs out loud)
Nikki: I can't go in there, Big Brother! It smells like someone died.
Nikki: Grace just talks about herself all the time... all the day... all the night.
(Richard discussing with Nikki the sort of thing that she could do when she leaves the BB house. Amongst other things he suggests some sort of alternative therapy.)

Richard: Someone who puts their head up other people's a*rses.
Nikki: Oh, I think you would be more suited to that, Richard.
Sezer to Nikki: What do you think they will be saying about you on the outside world? Do you think they will be saying you are a hypochondriac?

Nikki: Every time I talk to George he legs it to the other side of the house.

Nikki (about HMs' annoyance with her after she's had a tantrum): I'm obviously making them feel headached.
Nikki (to Lea when they were talking last night about Lea's porn exploits): "Can you get a whole head up there?"
BB (to Nikki): "Where are the numbers on the keyboard?"
Nikki: "On the top. But it's just a flower coming out. (types a bit) All these flowers. There's no numbers coming out, just flowers."

She never gave any false praise to ingratiate herself with the other housemates and she expected none in return.
I'll always remember when Glyn was doing his cooking task and everyone was complimenting him on his efforts and being oh so very nice. Then along comes Nikki to tell him that the toast was the worst she had ever had and was in fact as dry as her a***hole!!
I think Glyn nominated her that week!

This is exactly the same way I feel for Nikki. I felt like Nikki was the one that made a journey and to this day she still is. Well done to her, and well done to you Realistic for putting it into words for us.
