Yeah, I'm starting to like David more and more, he cracks me up, he really does. Him or Matt to win, for sure.

He really does stand out, I can not even think of a close 2nd.

Yes he does deserve to win.

The only thing I knew about David GEST was the stuff we read in the papers and thought he was just some pompous American weirdo.

And I'm happy to have been proved wrong. He's such a nice guy. He's funny, entertaining, respects the other campers and he's never afraid to admit it when he's wrong.

Jason Donavan comes across as a great guy too but I think Gesty is the most surprising and most watchable person in there and without him the camp would be crap.

I think he'd be shocked to win and probably humbled.

I don't know whether to believe his "Please vote me out" pleas or not.

Didn't John Lydon become favourite to win shortly before he walked out? I know he was asking for people to not vote for him.

He's definitely my favourite - I have say his "Is that a lie?" moments add to a fun as well, eg, CGWH!

I wondered whether this was his vulnerability and uncertainty showing through - i.e. if he HAD been voted out first he could convince himself that the reason was he'd encouraged the votes in other directions. And, to back up my theory of uncertainty and vulnerability, is the fact that he's started bouncing around in the last 24 hours - drawing confidence from the fact that he HASN'T been the first or second out.

After all, if you believe any of the press, there does seem to be some consensus about LM being a bully toward him. So maybe he is a guy that expects to be disparaged and laughed at.

I'm delighted to see this funny guy get on a solid footing. He's also kind to others. And VERY funny (I know I said that two sentences ago but it deserves repeating!)

As he deserves to win ... not least because I actually think he will be complete gobsmacked!!

Personally, I don't believe he cares.
I think he is a man comfortable in his own skin. He has nothing to prove to the British public & it is all an experiment as far as he is concerned.

I've been very surprised by David Gest. He's obviously a bit eccentric, but he seems a very nice and funny guy. His only claim as a celebrity is his marriage to Liza Minelli, and he's probably a bit nervous as to how he's being perceived, so keeps saying he doesn't mind being voted out so that it doesn't look bad if he is! I think he'd be absolutely gobsmacked if he won, though, and good on him if he does!

He wont win.....
Sad to say you know when he returns to his glitzy existance he will revert to the behaviour of that type of circle.
Nice to see him get a bit of good press but as the weeks go on his humour will get more and more "annoying"......I betcha

The D-Man to win......Jason will steal his way through quitly and politely

I wonder if he'll be utterly shocked to discover that, inspite of what the press wanted us to believe, that he has been so well regarded?

Can we expect some "damaging" stuff to appear in the press as David marches to a possible victory, or will they be falling over themselves to praise him in the hope of an exclusive?

One problem I do have is that if David does win, and I'd be happy for that, will we see much of him here as he seems to have a live in the states? I did wonder if he came to this show because he wants to do something in the UK, perhaps move or produce a show?

Shhhhhhhh!
whispers:They'll kill you for saying that.
Did you not see the venom last night when 'he who must not be mentioned' was voted out?
Hush.

We only have until Friday.

According to the official ITV site he's been bitching about Dean, but whether it gets shown will be a completely different story. I think he's a nice guy who means well, but he has that venomous Hollywood side to him, as most American stars seem to, it depends whether he lets that side come out by Friday or not.

this bloke is brilliant telly, but in my opinion, kind of wasted in lamest series yet. He would've made a brilliant housemate for January's Celebrity Big Brother.

Having said that he MUST win.

I have been a fan of Myleenes for years, but am so suprised at her popularity; i think she's been pretty dull.

Me too, I used to like her before this.

I think he started off okay but, he has been acting for the cameras of late. Also, he is a bit of a chauvinist.

I am not saying I don't like him being there. But, it seems he has been over doing his whole "act" lately becuase of the attention he gets from the 'celebs'.
