He is part of emmerdale History! I think he must be up there with some of the longest serving cast members.

I used to like him when Steph was drugging him and he looked like a sloth in the B&B.

Alan is a backbone of Emmerdale, one of a few real classic characters still on screen.

Long Live Alan!!!!

I like the character but they need to give him more interesting storylines I think.

Yeh i must admit it must be a bit of a fight. I assume her nickers are no longer small and frilley so he will have to wrestle with them. (that is a really bad though sorry for that)

Funny that, never took Alan for the 'breaking and entering' type

Alan Turner is part of the Emmerdale furniture and shouldn't be axed anytime in the future. He's just had a decent storyline with the Steph trial etc. He still has steam left in his character.

IMO the writers wasted a great opportunity when bringing back Terence Turner.

Jill (1st wife) is dead, Shirley (2nd wife) is dead, Tricia (only grandchild) is dead, Terence (son) is dead and Steph is in prison (and it's doubtful that Lorraine Chase will ever return) so Alan has no family left.

When they brought back Terence he should of had children (estranged or not). He originally left in 1986 (I think!) so he could have had children as old as twenty. This would have opened up more potential storylines for Alan and would have given him more of a purpose.
